NTSE Jharkhand 2020- JAC, Ranchi has released the application form of Jharkhand NTSE 2020 for Class 10th students on jac-nts.com. Eligible students can submit the online application till the last date, October 19, 2019. Students who meet all the eligibility terms apply for NTSE Jharkhand 2020. Students have to pay an exam fee of Rs 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST) to complete the application process. The stage 1 exam for Jharkhand will be held on November 17, 2019. National Talent Search Examination is divided into 2 papers MAT (Mental Ability Test) and the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). Aspirants who qualify Jharkhand NTSE Stage 1 will be eligible to appear for NTSE Stage 2, to be held on May 10, 2020. NTSE Jharkhand 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Students who wish to appear for the NTSE Jharkhand exam must satisfy the below mentioned NTSE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must have passed the class 9 exams with a minimum of 55% marks.

  • JAC does not provide scholarships to the candidates who are working along with the studies.

  • One must be pursuing class 10 from any government, private school or Top Schools in Jharkhand.

  • For SC, ST, PH, and OBC candidates, one must score at least 40% in class 9 to be eligible for NTSE 2020.

  • Students who hold NMMS scholarship can also appear for NTSE.

NTSE Jharkhand 2020 Application Forms

JAC, Ranchi has released the stage 1 Jharkhand NTSE application form on September 19, 2020. Interested and eligible students can submit the forms till October 19, 2019. Also, the link to download the application forms will be updated here. The process of the NTSE application form submission will end on October 19, 2019.

How to apply for NTSE Jharkhand 2020?

To apply for Jharkhand NTSE 2020, follow the below instructions:

  • Click on the link above or visit the official website i.e jac.jharkhand.gov.in

  • Click on “NTSE 2020 Registration” link available on the left side of the page.

  • Register online and fill the NTSE Jharkhand application form

  • Pay an exam fee of Rs 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST),

  • On the printed copy, put the candidate's signature and also get it signed from the parents at the designated columns.

  • Submit the Jharkhand NTSE application form to the state liaison’s office before the submission deadline with the required documents.

NTSE Jharkhand 2020 Admit Card

Aspirants who are participating in the exam can download their admit card/ hall ticket from the official website of JAC, Ranchi at least 10 days prior to the exam. Jharkhand NTSE Admit card will be issued online. Students can download the same from November 7, 2019 from jac.jharkhand.gov.in. One must enter their registration number and password to download NTSE Admit Card. One must definitely carry the Jharkhand NTSE Admit card during exam day as the candidates won't be allowed to enter the examination hall.

NTSE Jharkhand 2020 Exam Pattern

Jharkhand NTSE stage 1 exam is conducted in a specified pattern each year. NTSE 2020 Exam Pattern for Stage 1 and stage 2 will consist of 2 sections i.e. Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT). NTSE Jharkhand 2020 Syllabus

JAC or NCERT does not prescribe any syllabus for Stage 1 Jharkhand NTSE exams. Students can refer to the Jharkhand board class 9, 10th syllabus and CBSE class 10 syllabus for preparation. Mental Ability Test is conducted to evaluate the candidate’s logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. While Scholastic Ability Test is for tests conceptual knowledge acquired in the core subjects like Mathematics, and Science, and Social Science in their school. Subjects and syllabus

Mental Ability Test

Verbal reasoning test: Alphabetic test, Venn diagrams, analytic reasoning, blood relations, arithmetic reasoning, coding-decoding, direct sense test, fill in the blanks, word sequencing, Direction based question, word problems, clock problems, series completion test, truth verification, analogy.

For non-verbal reasoning test, questions will be based on: analogy, analytic reasoning, folding/ cutting paper, classification, embedded figures, mirror images, problems on cubes and dice, transparent paper folding, water images dot fixing situation, complete the figures.

Scholastic Ability Test

Mathematics: arithmetic progression, number system, probability, basic geometry, circles, coordinate geometry, algebra-expressions, direct & inverse variations, exponent, linear equation, quadratic equations, simple & compound interest, square root, and cube root, triangles, trigonometry, statistics, surface area, and volume.

Science: Acid, bases and salts, air, carbon and its compounds, diversity in living organisms, fibers and plastics, magnetism & electricity, periodic classification of elements, food production and management, cellular level of organisms, light, evolution, measurement, metals & non-metals, environment,physical & chemical changes in matter, source of energy.

Social sciences:

History: Indian history, Jainism, Buddhism, culture, science, & literature, Indus valley civilization, the introduction of ancient and conquerors from other countries and nations, the early medieval period, medieval architecture and culture, national movement, new empires and kingdoms.

Civics: Democracy, diversity and livelihood, judiciary, UN & other international agencies, economic presence of the government, Union government, India & its neighboring countries, state government.

Geography: Agriculture, Internal structure of earth and rocks, atmosphere, industries, major domains and land-forms, maps and globe, the motion of the earth, natural vegetation, environment of India, resources, and development, solar system.

How to Prepare for NTSE Jharkhand 2020?

To qualify the Jharkhand NTSE stage 1 exam, aspirants must plan a strategy and follow the NTSE 2020 preparation tips

  1. Students must focus on conceptual clarity rather than mugging the concept. As practical knowledge which will increase the probability of getting good scores in NTSE 2020.

  2. Students must refer to the best NTSE books while preparing and make notes and revise them on a regular basis.

  3. One of the key NTSE Jharkhand preparation tips is to practice sample papers to get a grip on the subject and understand the type of questions asked.

  4. Practice more and more. For this purpose refer to NTSE previous year papers as they will help you in time management.

Jharkhand NTSE 2020 Answer Key

The official answer key for the Jharkhand NTSE exam will be declared in the last week of November 2019. Students can check the answer key on NTSE Jharkhand official website. Also, the recognized coaching institutes will release the NTSE 2020 answer key by the second week of November 2019. The Jharkhand NTSE answer key is released so that students can calculate their probable score before the actual declaration of the result.

NTSE Jharkhand Result 2020

JAC will declare the NTSE stage 1 result on the official website in the second week of April 2020. Students need to enter their name and hall ticket number to check their NTSE Jharkhand 2020 Result. MAT, SAT scores, total marks obtained will be included in the NTSE Jharkhand result. Shortlisted students after Jharkhand NTSE stage 1 result will be eligible for appearing in NTSE stage 2 exam,

NTSE has two parts that are SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and MAT (Mental Ability Test). The MAT section will test students on their thinking ability, Reasoning etc. while the SAT is further divided into three sub-sections namely Science, Maths and Social Science.

The total marks of NTSE have been increased from 150 to 200 along with the removal of the language test. The official cut off will be released along with the result. The cutoff is expected to be around 140.
