NTSE Chandigarh 2024 - SCERT will release the NTSE Chandigarh 2024 application form on the official website www.scertchd.edu.in. Students can download the application form and submit it in offline mode to the SCERT from August 2024 to September 2024.
Students appearing in the Class 10 exams are eligible to appear in the NTSE 2024 examination. Students who successfully qualify the Stage 1 will appear in the NTSE 2024 Stage 2 examination in May 2025. SCERT Chandigarh will release the application form for the stage 1 exam in online and offline mode. But forms are submitted in offline mode to the Director of SCERT. Candidates can follow these steps to fill out the NTSE application form 2024:
Download the form from the link provided above and or get it signed by the Principal of the school.
Fill in all the details correctly and carefully.
Paste recent passport-size photographs of candidates.
Attached required documents such as the caste certificate for the candidate belonging to the Scheduled Caste /OBC Category and the medical certificate for the candidate belonging to a physically challenged group.
Candidates who passed class 9th and appeared in the 10th class are eligible to apply for the NTSE 2024 exam.
Candidates must have scored Grade B2 and above or 61% marks in the class 9 examination to fulfill NTSE eligibility criteria.
SCERT Chandigarh provides a 5% relaxation in marks for students belonging to the SC and PH Category.
Students registered under Open distance learning can also apply for this exam. The candidates should be below the age of 18 years, should not be employed, and appear in the NTSE examination for the first time.
Separate NTSE admit card 2024 will be released for stage 1 and stage 2 exams.
The admit cards for the NTSE stage 1 exam will be released 15 days before the examination.
Students need to collect the admit card from the State Council of Educational Research and
Training (SCERT), Sector 32 C, UT Chandigarh by a representative of the Head of the concerned School.
This admit card is mandatory to carry on exam day else candidates will not be able to write Chandigarh NTSE 2024 exam.
First of all, analyze the NTSE syllabus to know about the topics and sub-topics to be studied for the exam.

SCERT will release the official answer key of NTSE Chandigarh 2024 in online mode.
Most of the renowned institutes have also released the answer key of the NTSE stage 1 exam on the same day of the exam.
Candidates can download the NTSE answer key and use it to calculate probable scores.
The answer key is useful to calculate the estimated score before the release of the result.
SCERT, Chandigarh will release the result of NTSE stage 1 exam in online mode in February 2025. The result will be made available in the form of a merit list. NTSE result contains the details of the selected candidates for stage 2 exam. Final selected candidates will be eligible to get a scholarship after the declaration of NTSE stage 2 result.
SCERT Chandigarh will declare the stage 1 cutoff along with the result.
Candidates who secure the cutoff marks will be eligible to go for the next stage and can find their name in the merit list.
NTSE cutoff marks are the lowest marks needed to score to crack the exam.
NCERT provides the scholarship amount to candidates who clear the stage 2 exam. The scholarship is provided up to Ph.D level as per NCERT norms. Candidates of all categories will receive the same scholarship amount. NTSE scholarship amounts at different levels are given below:
Rs.1250/- at Higher Secondary level.
Rs.2000/- at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
For Ph.D degree, the scholarship is provided as per UGC norms.
Students can download the application form from the official website and submit it offline.
Around 20 students are selected in NTSE stage 1 Chandigarh who appear for stage 2 exam.
A total of 200 questions containing 100 from MAT and 100 from SAT will be asked in NTSE stage 1 Chandigarh examination.
