NTSE Odisha 2020 Selection Process

  • Eligible students have to appear in Stage 1 of NTSE and pass the same with a minimum of 40% marks in each paper i.e. MAT & SAT separately to get shortlisted for Stage 2 Exam. The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/PH is 32% marks.
  • Students have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in MAT & SAT (32% marks for SC/ST/PH) in NTSE Stage 2 Result to get shortlisted in the final merit list.
  • Only stage 2 qualifiers will receive the final NTSE Scholarships.

  • Odisha NTSE exam has two parts Mental Ability Test (MAT), Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).
  • MAT and SAT both contain 100 questions each.
  • There is no negative marking in NTSE Odisha 2020.

The exam conducting authority has released the official Odisha NTSE 2020 answer key on the official website of SCERT, Bhubaneswar, ntse.scertodisha.nic.in. A few coaching institutes have released NTSE 2020 answer keys straight after the exam. Students can evaluate their performance in the NTSE Odisha examination with the help of the answer keys. NTSE Odisha 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who are currently studying in class 10th during 2019-20 from any recognized schools of Odisha are eligible to participate in Odisha NTSE 2020.
  • They have qualified the Class 10th annual examination with a minimum of 60% marks for students belonging to General, OBC and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories (55% for SC/ST/PH).
  • Students of open distance learning (ODL) are also eligible for Odisha State Level National Talent Search Examination, provided their age is less than 18 years (as on 1st July 2020).
  • Students must be unemployed and are appearing in Class 10th for the first time.

Ntse means National Talent Search Exam which is conducted to give scholarships to the students who are highly taled as government will provide them scholarships as cutoff marks will be based on category and resevations and no.of seats available for the candidates, no.of candidates appeared for the exam and difficulty level of the  question paper ,and previous year cutoff marks are taken into consideration and you should get maximum of 75 percent of the marks to the total marks in ntse of Chandigarh  and  so that study well and work hard to get good marks All the best for your future and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.

The NTSE stage 1, was already conducted in the months of November- December, 2019 in different states. The results are being declared by different states. The stage 2 for NTSE is scheduled to be on 10 May, 2020. Till now, no official statement has been passed for the postponement of the exam. You must keep an eye on the official website for updates.

NTSE paper comprises of 40% of Social science , so it become very important to crack Social with good marks.

For stage 1 , the state board’s textbooks for History & Civics and Geography are important.

And for stage 2 , books of NCERT Class IX & X are important.

Also ,you can see video lectures by Prof. Vipin Joshi like - “The Rise of Nationalism in Europe”, “The French Revolution”, etc.  (They will help you a lot).

Also , there is a channel NTSE Guru , you can subscribe to that . The video lectures were completely understandable. Each topic consists of a video tutorial, concept theory, practice sheets, previous year questions & tests.
