NTSE Puducherry 2020- NCERT has release the stage 1 exam dates of NTSE. The stage 1 exam for Puducherry will be held on November 3, 2019. DSE, Puducherry will start the registration process for NTSE 2020 examination in the first week of August 2019 on schooledn.puducherry.gov.in. Students of Class 10th can apply for Puducherry NTSE exam till the first week of September 2019. Aspirants can apply for the National Talent Search examination either through online or offline mode. It is a national scholarship exam for Class X students who are looking for financial assistance. NTSE Stage 1 exam includes the MAT (Mental Ability Test) and the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). Students have to qualify both sections to get selected for Stage II. Shortlisted students will receive an amount of Rs. 5,000 as a one-time incentive. A total number of 20 students will be selected for awarding the scholarship.

Students who qualify the stage 1 will be called for Stage 2 of NTSE 2020 exams, to be held in June 2020. Students aspiring to participate should read further for eligibility, application, and preparation of NTSE Puducherry 2020.

NTSE Puducherry 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Only eligible candidates are allowed to submit the NTSE forms. Hence, aspirants should check the complete NTSE eligibility criteria before applying for the Puducherry NTSE exam. Below are some important terms of eligibility-

  • Students of Indian nationality are allowed to apply for the examination.

  • Only class 10 students who are studying in the schools of Puducherry in the current academic year (2019-20) are eligible to apply for NTSE Puducherry 2020.

  • Besides, students have secured at least 60% marks in Class 9th annual exams.

  • Students have to obtain a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent for renewal of scholarship every year.

  • NMMS scholarship holders are also eligible to appear for the exam.

NTSE Puducherry 2020 Application Form

Department of Education, Puducherry will issued the NTSE application forms online in the first week of August 2019. Students who meet the above eligibility criteria, can apply for NTSE Puducherry NTSE 2020. The applications can also be submitted through the respective schools in the offline mode. The last date to submit the completely filled and attested application form to the state liaison officer till the first week of September 2019. How to fill NTSE Puducherry Application forms?

  • Click the above link or visit the official website of DSE, Puducherry to download the NTSE forms.

  • The application forms will also be available at the schools. Students should get the forms free of cost.

  • After getting the NTSE Puducherry Application form, fill the form with correct and relevant information such as Name, School Details, Address, Contact information and more.

  • Attach the necessary documents including the photograph, income certificate, caste certificate and get the form attested by the head of the institution/ school.

  • Now, submit the form to the head of the institution or state liaison officer. The address of state liaison officer is provided above.

Documents Required for NTSE Registration

  • Passport-sized, coloured photographs in the school uniform.

  • Attested copy of caste reservation certificate for reserved categories (SC/ ST/ PH)

NTSE Puducherry Admit Card 2020

Students who submit the application form before the last date will be able to collect their admit card in the last week of October 2019. NTSE Admit card will contain the details of candidates and exam information including the exam date, time and venue details. Students must bring their Puducherry NTSE Admit Card while appearing in the test else they won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall.

NTSE Puducherry 2020 Exam Pattern

NTSE Puducherry 2020 Syllabus

The exam authority does not specify any syllabus for NTSE stage 1. However, students are suggested to follow the Class 9th & CBSE Class 10th syllabus to prepare for NTSE exam. If your school is affiliated to the state board, then follow the state board class 9th and class 10th syllabus for SAT preparation. However, questions in MAT section will be related to reasoning section. NTSE Syllabus for stage 2 will be similar however, for stage 2 students have to only follow NCERT syllabus.

NTSE Puducherry 2020 Preparation

To prepare for Puducherry NTSE 2020, one must first go through the entire examination pattern and syllabus. After knowing the important sections, follow the given steps of NTSE preparation to score well in the exam-

  1. Make short notes while studying a topic or section.

  2. Students preparing for the exam should include the NTSE sample papers and previous year question papers in their preparation material. They should practice at least two tests in a week.

  3. Consult with teachers or experts to know the best way to solve questions.

  4. Refer to the NTSE preparation books that are available online and offline at a bookstore, to add value in your preparation.

  5. Instead of spending time on social media, make a proper study schedule and adhere to it.

NTSE Puducherry 2020 Answer Key

The exam authority may or may not release the NTSE stage 1 answer keys. However, a few coaching institutes release the NTSE Puducherry answer keys online. These answer keys will Students will be able to check the right answer to each question in the answer keys. Besides, students can also calculate their expected scores with the help of answer keys.

NTSE Puducherry Result 2020

The NTSE Puducherry result will be announced online by the exam conducting authority. The stage 1 result will be available to download in a PDF file. The result file will contain the name, scores and school details of shortlisted candidates in NTSE 2020 result. Only shortlisted candidates will be able to appear in the stage 2 exam, to be conducted in June 2020. NCERT will declare the NTSE Stage 2 result on its official website.

NTSE Puducherry 2020 Cutoff

The cut off marks are the minimum marks that students must attain in the NTSE exam to get shortlisted for stage 2 exam. NTSE Stage 1 cut off will be released state-wise while the stage 2 cut will be issued by the NCERT. NTSE cut off will be different for different categories. NTSE 2020 Scholarships Details

NCERT distribute a total of 2,000 scholarships under NTSE programme. Students who qualify the both stage 1 & stage 2 exams will receive the NTSE Scholarship amount after the verification of candidature. Eligible students can receive the scholarship till their last year of professional graduation or Ph.D.

NTSE has two parts that are SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and MAT (Mental Ability Test). The MAT section will test students on their thinking ability, Reasoning etc. while the SAT is further divided into three sub-sections namely Science, Maths and Social Science.
