The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will publish the Class 6 JNV Question paper 2026 on the official website, navodaya.gov.in, after conducting the exam. However, the students can download the Navodaya Class 6 question paper 2025 has been published, and a direct link is given below. The exam for the academic session 2026-27 will be held in two phases. The first phase is on December 13, 2025, and the second phase is on April 11, 2026. The date is decided depending on the state. The last date to apply is 29th July, 2025. Section 1Mental Ability Test (MAT)

This section is a non-verbal test that evaluates the candidate's general mental ability through questions based on figures and diagrams.

Section 2Arithmetic Test

Number and numeric system, Four fundamental operations on whole numbers, Factors and multiples, including their properties, Decimals and basic operations with decimals, Conversion of fractions to decimals and vice-versa, Measurement of length, mass, capacity, time, money, etc., Simplification of numerical expressions, Fractional numbers: addition and subtraction of like fractions (multiplication and division of unlike fractions are not included), Profit and loss (without calculating percentage), Perimeter and area: perimeter of polygons, area of square, rectangle, and triangle (as part of a rectangle), Types of angles and simple applications, Data analysis using bar diagrams, graphs, and line charts.

Section 3Language Test

This test evaluates the candidate's reading comprehension skills. It consists of four passages, each followed by five questions. Candidates are required to read each passage carefully and answer the questions based on the content of the passage.

Objectives of JNV Class 6 Entrance Exam 2026

  • To provide good quality modern education, including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities, and physical education to the talented children predominantly from rural areas.
  • To ensure that students attain a reasonable level of competency in three languages.
  • To promote national integration through migration of students from Hindi to non-Hindi speaking states and vice versa.
  • To serve in each district as a focal point for improvement in the quality of school education in general through the sharing of experiences and facilities.
