The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released the new syllabus of JNVST 6th Class exam through the official prospectus. The Navodaya syllabus for 6th class PDF is available online on the official website, navodaya.gov.in. The JNV Class 6 selection test has three sections: Mental Ability Test (MAT), Arithmetic Test, and Language Test. Students need to attempt all three sections to clear the JNV exam.
As per the JNVST 2025 class six detailed syllabus, the exam is held in English, Hindi, and regional languages. There will be a total of 80 questions for 100 marks in the exam. MAT stands for mental ability test, which means this section will test the mental ability of the students. The question will be asked in a non-verbal pattern. Another important section of the NVS exam syllabus is Arithmetic, which includes topics such as numbers, factors, conversions, etc. This section is introduced to test the students' basic competencies in Arithmetic. The detailed topics of the NVS arithmetic test for Class 6 are given below:
Number and numeric system
Four fundamental operations on whole number
Factors and multiples including their properties
Decimals and fundamental operations on them
Conversion of fractions to decimals and vice-versa
Measurement of length, mass, capacity, time, money etc
Simplification of Numerical Expressions
Fractional numbers - addition and subtraction of like fractions and multiplication (unlike fraction and division of fractional numbers not included)
Profit and loss without calculation of percentage (calculation of percentage of profit and loss is exempted from the topic)
Perimeter and area – perimeter of polygon, area of square rectangle and triangle (as a part of rectangle)
Types of angle and its simple applications
Data analysis using bar diagram, graph and line chart.
The third section of the Class 6 NVS syllabus is the language test, which has 20 questions to be answered. The language test will have reading comprehension and the question will be asked from these comprehensions. This section contains 20 marks and the duration to attempt these questions is 30 minutes. Students will be assessed based on their reading ability.

The exact date for the release of the results are not yet declared. keep an eye on the official website for the latest information. The results will be declared soon in the official website. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya result 2021 Class 6 will be released in the form of region-wise merit lists and through the login window.
