This is a non – verbal test. Questions are based on figures and diagrams only. Questions are meant to assess general mental ability/functioning of the candidates. The section is divided into five parts having 4 questions each from mental ability, and the remaining 20 questions are from Environmental Studies. QUESTION NO. 21-40 will be given from Environmental Studies (EVS). The test consists of 20 questions containing 15 MCQs and one passage followed by 05 questions. Syllabus for EVS is given below – EVS takes an interdisciplinary approach, integrating basic concepts from Science, Social Science and Environmental Education. The main purpose of this test is to assess basic awareness of the candidates about their surroundings.

The main purpose of this test is to measure candidates' basic competencies in Arithmetic. All twenty questions of this test will be based on the following 12 topics. The detailed topics of the NVS arithmetic test for Class 6 are given below:
