Ms. Alka Kapur, Principal of Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh said, the Chemistry board exam presented a well-balanced assessment, maintaining a moderate difficulty level. The inclusion of direct definitions and reasoning questions from diverse chapters offered a comprehensive test of students' knowledge. However, the compulsory numerical questions in physical chemistry could benefit from some element of choice to cater to varying student strengths. The question paper overall was thoughtfully prepared, providing a fair evaluation of understanding across topics. As a teacher, I appreciate the emphasis on a holistic assessment approach, ensuring students apply their knowledge effectively. Feedback and analysis of today's exam reveal a positive experience for most students, highlighting the importance of continued refinement in exam design to foster a conducive learning environment.

CBSE Class 12 English Exam Analysis

According to Lopamudra Majumder, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) English, Vidyagyan Sitapur, the CBSE English 12th question paper was good. “Question paper followed the pattern already shared by CBSE with a mix of subjective and objective questions. The MCQ questions were good and children had to infer the answers which they did with intelligence. Long questions in literature interlinked the narratives and poems. The students were able to answer the questions well. Students who did a thorough reading of the NCERT books were able to answer the paper well,” she said.

For another teacher, Priyannka Yadav from KIIT World School, Gurugram, all three sections in the English paper had an average level of difficulty, and comprised a mix of textual and competency-based questions.

Giving the section-wise analysis, she said, “Section A passages posed some challenging questions that may have required additional time. The second passage was relatively straightforward. Section B had four questions of creative writing which included notice writing, invitation/ reply writing, letter writing, and report/ article writing. The questions were clear and sufficient hints were given.”

About section C, the teacher said that it was inference-based. The RTC questions in the literature section followed the format outlined in the CBSE sample paper. Long questions in literature interlinked the narratives and poems.

The paper is direct and reasonably easy. A thorough textual knowledge would be sufficient to tackle the questions on literature. Some of the MCQs, such as the one on my mother at sixty-six, had rather obvious distractors making the question extremely easy. The MCQ on The Third Level, q8, number 3, had some ambiguity in the phrasing. However, overall the paper caters to students of diverse skill sets and abilities. *There was an overuse of analogy-based questions and very few assertion reasoning-based questions.

Ms Aditi Bhatnagar, PGT English, DPS, GBN shared that the paper was of 80 marks and had to be attempted in three hours. The paper was divided into three sections – Section A, Section B, and Section C.

Section A - Reading, consisted of two passages, for a total of 20 marks. This section tested the student's comprehension skills, vocabulary, and inferential capabilities. A few students found it intriguing though most could sail through.

Section B - Writing Skills, for 20 marks, consisted of four questions – two short writing skills and two long writing skills. It was declared simple by all the students.

Section C Literature, for 40 marks, consisted of questions that included extracts from the literary texts, short answer questions, long answer questions and a few value-based questions. It put the students’ knowledge of the prescribed texts to the test.

Students of DPS, and GBN found the paper quite easy and hope to get excellent marks. Most of the students were ecstatic as the paper was absolutely according to the CBSE pattern and was flawless.

All questions asked are of equal marks and there was no negative marking for incorrect responses. Students can find the unofficial CBSE 12th answer key for the English exam here. The English paper was lengthy, several students tweeted that the exam was tough and time taking.

hello,

Yes you can appear for the compartment paper again since CBSE gives three chances to a candidate to clear his/her exams so you still have two more attempts. However, you can appear for your improvement paper for all subjects but you cannot appear for the ones in which you have failed.

I hope this was helpful!

Good Luck

Hello dear,

If you was not able to clear 1st compartment and now you giving second compartment so YES, you can go for your improvement exam next year but if a student receives an improvement, they are given the opportunity to retake the boards as a private candidate the following year, but there are some requirements. First, the student must pass all of their subjects; if they received a compartment in any subject, they must then pass the compartment exam before being eligible for the improvement.

As you can registered yourself as private candidate for giving your improvement exam of 12 standard CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education). For that you have to wait for a whole year which is bit difficult for you.

Positive side of waiting for whole year is you have a whole year to preparing yourself for your examination. You have no distraction or something which may causes your failure in the exams. In whole year you have to stay focused on your 12 standard examination for doing well in it. By this you get a highest marks as a comparison of others.

Believe in Yourself! You can make anything happen

All the very best.

Hello Student,

I appreciate your Interest in education. See the improvement is not restricted to one subject or multiple subjects  and  we cannot say if improvement in one subject in one year leads to improvement in more subjects in coming year.

All the best.

Hi,

You just need to give the exams for the concerned two subjects in which you have got RT. There is no need to give exam for all of your subjects, you can just fill the form for the two subjects only.
