The board has a mandatory process for schools to submit CBSE LOC for the registration process. The CBSE LOC allows Class 10 and 12 students to appear for the board examination. The CBSE board date sheet will be announced at the start of the academic year 2025. Schools will handle the CBSE registration 2025 process, requiring students to submit all necessary information and documents to the school. The school will then register this information on the official website. The CBSE registration window will reopen in November 2025, with a late fee structure that varies according to the student's class and the region of registration.
The CBSE registration of students in Classes IX and XI is a crucial undertaking that facilitates the board in its preparations for conducting the CBSE Class 10 exam and CBSE Class 12 exams for these students in the upcoming academic year. Students can check important dates for the CBSE registration 2025 here.

The registration process for CBSE Classes 9 and 11 is primarily handled by the school. It's not a process that individual students undertake directly. While students don't directly register, they should cooperate with the school by providing accurate information when required. Here's a process of how it works:
The CBSE registration process is the communication of students' personal information to their parents, allowing for immediate rectification of any inaccuracies in the student's details. This proactive measure aids in preventing potential issues in the future. Check the procedure for online CBSE registration 2025 of students in Class IX/XI
This process includes three options: ADD, MODIFY, and DELETE.
ADD: Information regarding any omitted or new students can be entered.
MODIFY: Any corrections to the previously submitted student details can be updated. By entering the Record No. associated with the student's information, the details will be displayed on the screen, allowing for necessary updates or corrections to be made.
DELETE: Previously submitted student information can be entirely removed from the list by entering the Record No. corresponding to the details to be deleted. The student's information will be shown on the screen before deletion. Once deleted, the information cannot be recovered and must be re-entered using the ADD option if needed again.
Note: The options "Checklist Printing of Registered Students" and "Correction of Registered List of Students" may be utilized multiple times until the list is free of errors.
Once all corrections, including any spelling errors in the names of candidates, mothers, or fathers, have been completed and the list is free of errors, the data must be finalised. The finalisation of data indicates that no further corrections, deletions, or modifications will be permitted, signifying that the submitted data is considered final. Following the finalization of the initial batch of data (Excel file), it remains possible to add more students in subsequent batches through individual online entries, provided that the submission date falls within the designated timeline and the maximum number of students for the new batch has not been exceeded.
The applicable fees will be determined according to the fee schedule for that period. A school is allowed to add and finalize students in a maximum of five batches (one batch for Excel upload and four batches for individual online entries). After the data has been finalized, the necessary fees must be paid electronically using the available payment methods. Visually impaired students are exempted from fee payment.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started the registration process for students in both Class 9 and Class 11 on September 18, 2024.
CBSE Class 9 and 11 registration's last date is October 24, 2024.
Students are not permitted to register directly for CBSE Class 9, instead, they must provide all necessary information to their respective schools, which will then complete the registration process on their behalf.
Unfortunately, students cannot retrieve their CBSE Class 9 registration number independently. The registration process for Class 9 is handled by schools and not directly by students.
