Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Chennai

Kendriya Vidyalaya Chennai is located in the green environment of IIT Chennai (Madras) and is also known as Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT. This Vidyalaya was founded in the year 1964 by the IIT management committee is led by Principal Dr M. Manickasamy. 

KV IIT is still functioning under the guidance of Dr V. Jagadeesh Kumar, Dean Academic Courses IIT Madras along with other dedicated and resourceful members of the committee. As the Kendriya Vidyalaya Chennai branch is located in the IIT campus, it has a very beautiful green environment that is beautifully maintained and this KV comes among the best schools in Chennai.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Chennai was started in the year 1964 with a student strength of 250 and the staff strength of 10 people. It has been expanded up to 1802 students and 250 staff people by the year 2020. Classes 1 to 12 are successfully running with three sections in each class from 1 to 10. While classes 11 and 12 have two science sections and 1 commerce section.
