Sainik School, Purulia

The yearly admission procedure for Classes 6 and 9 at Sainik Schools begins with the release of an online AISSEE application form between September and October.

After the entrance exam, a centralised counselling process is initiated, allowing candidates to reserve their counselling slots through the official Sainik School counselling website.

Following the counselling, a school-wise merit list is published. Those selected in this list proceed to undergo a medical examination by the respective Sainik School.

Students who clear the medical examination are selected in a final merit list, including those who successfully passed both the entrance and medical tests.

Admission is granted to students based on their position in the final merit list and the availability of vacancies in their preferred class.
