Does subject wise score in the KVPY matters, Do we need to score minimum marks in each subject to qualify?

Rishi Garg 2nd Dec, 2019

This is the good thing that the subject wise score in KVPY doesn't matter for the final result. However one has to score the minimum qualifying score in both exams (i.e., Written Exam and Interview).

For publishing the Stage 1 result, The total score in the written exam is taken into account, Also the section wise score doesn't matters.

For further information, kindly go through the link

If I have attempted all the sections in Part 2 in KVPY SX Stream, how will the total Marks be calculated?

Rishi Garg 2nd Dec, 2019

If you have attempted all the four sections in KVPY, then as you said you appeared in SX stream, you had to attempt any two out of the four sections, but don't worry there is no loss in attempting all the four sections because in this case marks of the best two out of the four sections will be taken into account for calculation of the final result.

I scored 58 and 59 marks in science and maths in my 10th board exam so i am eligible to give kvpy exam of sx stream or not??

N sayadeevi 1st Dec, 2019
Hello!
I'm really sorry to tell you that you aren't eligible for kvpy.
The eligibility criteria for kvpy is :
# candidates much be studying in 11th grade
# minimum score must be 75% in both maths and science in 10th board
# for Sc, St and PWD is 65% in both the subjects.
But you can give your kvpy once again when you are in college:
# you must be in 1st year of your UG
# you must have 60% in your 12th board for general category
# and for Sc, St and PWD 50%.
So, study hard and get really good score in your 12th board exam.
All the very best

If my score is low in KVPY, shall I choose SCB channel for appying IISER? If thro KVPY Cahnnel, for OBC, howmuch mark /rank is eligible to get admission in IISER? Pl.reply.

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 29th Nov, 2019
Hello,
If you are eligible for the exam then just give your best. You can't prepare as per marks or rank. It's unpredictable. Just make  hard work and with sincere practice and preparation you can score good marks and a rank which will make you able to join a college.
It's okay if your mark is low. You just have to satisfy the eligibility criteria. That much will do the work.
Practice well and devote your time in understanding concepts and solve numericals with steps. Understand Every step and know why it is done like that.
Questions are not easy and it's really tough as it feels like you haven't studied anything like this. This can only be counterattack by lots of hardwork, practice and smart planning.
Hope it helps!
