About NSO 2025
SOF NSO 2025-26 - The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is responsible for conducting the SOF NSO exam. The foundation conducts the exam in two levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Students studying in Classes 1 to 12 can apply for the SOF NSO 2025-26 level 1 exam. Whereas the NSO level 2 exam is held for students from classes 3 to 12. SOF NSO 2025-26 registration is typically concluded 30 days before the exam date. Students can register through their respective schools.
- The SOF conducted the NSO 2025-26 level 1 exam on November 13, November 27, and December 11, 2025, for Set A, Set B, and Set C, respectively.
- The SOF released the NSO answer key for Set A and Set B on December 16, 2025, and December 27, 2025, respectively. The Set C answer key will be released soon in January 2026.
- The SOF NSO results will be released online through the official website, sofworld.org.
- The exam is held in offline mode for a duration of 1 hour.
- The level 2 exam date for SOF NSO 2025-26 will be announced by January 2026.
- NSO is an annual scholarship exam that tests students’ scientific reasoning and logical ability.

NSO Important Dates
NSO National Science Olympiad (session 2025)
- The SOF released the NSO answer key for Set A and Set B on December 16, 2025, and December 27, 2025, respectively. The Set C answer key will be released soon in January 2026.
- Class 1 to 12 students can download the National Science Olympiad answer keys by visiting the link given above.
- The answer keys contain all the correct answers to SOF NSO 2025-26.
- Students enrolled in classes 1 to 12 are eligible to apply for SOF NSO 2025-26 through their respective years.
- A student can apply for the exam once a year.
- A minimum of 10 students should register from each school for the NSO exam 2025-26.
- The organising body sends the prospectus of SOF NSO 2025-26 containing registration forms to all schools registered with SOF.
- Students need to contact their respective schools to fill out the NSO application form.
- The schools will then return the duly filled registration forms to SOF along with the application fees within the dates specified.
- The students' roll numbers will be generated by the coordinating teacher appointed in each school.
- They will also send a copy of the roll numbers of students.
- At least 10 students must be registered from each school for the NSO exam 2025-26.

- Students who are preparing for the National Science Olympiad 2025-26 should solve the sample papers for a better understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus.
- Students can also check their preparation level by solving the sample papers.
- Sample papers also help students improve their performance in the SOF NSO 2025-26 examination.
The foundation releases the Level 1 exam admit cards one or two weeks before the exams. Students can collect their NSO admit cards from the respective school authorities. Whereas, the candidates will be able to download the NSO admit card for the level 2 exam from the official website.
- The Science Olympiad Foundation will announce the result online. The level 1 exam results are expected to be released in January 2026.
- Students can check their results by visiting their respective schools or accessing them online on SOF’s official website.
NSO Level 1 cutoff is released a few days before the result announcement. Till then, students can check previous years' cutoff below.
