NSEP Results 2024-25 - Check IAPT NSEP Result and Merit List @ iapt.org.on

The Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) will announce the results of the National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP) 2024-25 in January 2025. The NSEP exam 2024-25 was conducted on November 24, 2024, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Students will be able to access their NSEP results from the official website, iapt.org.in

The NSEP merit list PDF 2024-25 will be published on the IAPT result website once the results are declared. The toppers of the NSEP exam result from each State/Union Territory will be eligible for the Stage 2 examination i,e Indian National Olympiads (INOs) 2025. Steps to Download NSEP Result and Merit List 2024-25

Students can check their NSEP results 2024-25 online on the official website of IAPT. Follow the step-by-step process mentioned below to know how to download the NSEP results 2024-25:

1. Visit the website at iapt.org.in.

2. Click on the ‘NSEP Exam Result 2024-25’ link.

3. Enter the required credentials such as your NSEP roll number and Date of Birth.

4. Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

5. The NSEP 2024-25 result will appear on the screen. Download it to your device or print it for future reference.

Steps to download the NSEP Merit List 2024-25:

• On the home page of the IAPT website, find a link that says ‘List of Students Selected for INO 2025.’

• Click on the link to check the list of shortlisted candidates.

• If your name is not mentioned in the list, then you have not qualified for the next level, the Indian National Olympiad (INO).

NSEP Result 2024-25 - Qualifying Criteria for INO

The Merit Index (MI) in a subject is defined as 80% of the average of the top ten scores in that subject. It is rounded off to the nearest lower integer. All students with a score equal to or greater than the merit index in the NSEP result will automatically qualify for INO Stage 2 examination.

NSEP Cut-Off Score 2024-25

To meet the eligibility criteria for the stage 2 exam, students must obtain marks equal to or higher than the Minimum Admissible Score (MAS), equal to 50% of the average of the top 10 IAPT results 2024-25 in the relevant subject. The previous year's cut-off NSEP 2023-24 is provided below:

NSEP Result 2024-25 - What after INPhO?

INPhO (Indian National Physics Olympiad) is the second stage of the Science Olympiad. About 35 toppers from INPhO are selected for the next stage of the Olympiad which is Orientation cum Selection Camp(OCSC). This will be a two-week camp at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai.

NSEP Result 2024-25 - What after OCSC?

To participate in the International Olympiad 2025, the Indian team will be selected based on the performance of students in OCSC.

Note: In addition, about 8 toppers from INPhO may get an opportunity to participate in the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) which will be scheduled in the first week of May 2025, tentatively.

NSEP Result 2024-25 - How to Register for INPhO

• Selected students must register for the Indian National Olympiad (INO) exam for Physics, conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.

• The link for INO registration 2024-25 will be activated after the declaration of the NSEP result on the official website at olympiads.hbcse.tifr.res.in.

• Students will be required to click on the link and enter their roll number, date of birth, and password.

• After clicking on the ‘Login’ button they will be able to access the form.

Note: Students should note that INO registration is mandatory for all NSEP qualifiers. The INO 2025 result is expected to be announced in the last week of February 2025.
