Visit the website at iapt.org.in.
Click on the ‘NSEP Exam Result 2026-27’ link.
Enter the required credentials, such as your NSEP roll number and Date of Birth.
Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
The NSEP 2026-27 result will appear on the screen.
Download it to your device or print it for future reference.
On the home page of the IAPT website, find a link that says ‘List of Students Selected for INO 2026-27.’
Click on the link to check the list of shortlisted candidates.
If your name is not mentioned in the list, then you have not qualified for the next level, the Indian National Olympiad (INO).

The Merit Index (MI) in a subject is defined as 80% of the average of the top ten scores in that subject. It is rounded off to the nearest lower integer. All students with a score equal to or greater than the merit index in the NSEP result will automatically qualify for the INO Stage 2 examination.
To meet the eligibility criteria for the stage 2 exam, students must obtain marks equal to or higher than the Minimum Admissible Score (MAS), equal to 50% of the average of the top 10 IAPT results 2026-27 in the relevant subject. INPhO (Indian National Physics Olympiad) is the second stage of the Science Olympiad. About 35 toppers from INPhO will be selected for the next stage of the Olympiad, which is the Orientation cum Selection Camp(OCSC). This will be a two-week camp at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai.
To participate in the International Olympiad 2026-27, the Indian team will be selected based on the performance of students in OCSC.
Selected students must register for the Indian National Olympiad (INO) exam for Physics, conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.
The link for INO registration 2026-27 will be activated after the declaration of the NSEP result on the official website at olympiads.hbcse.tifr.res.in.
Students will be required to click on the link and enter their roll number, date of birth, and password.
After clicking on the ‘Login’ button, they will be able to access the form.
Note: Students should note that INO registration is mandatory for all NSEP qualifiers.
