There is no prescribed syllabus for the IAPT exams. However, the level of NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, and NSEA is of class 12, hence the students can follow the NCERT syllabus of Class 12 to prepare for the exams. For the National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS), students can follow the NCERT Syllabus for Class 10 for Science and Mathematics.
The question paper of NSEA, NSEP, NSEB, NSEC and NSEJS will be 216 marks. The question paper will be MCQ based.
There is a provision for negative marking in the exam. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
The exam duration for each exam will be 2 hours.
There will be 60 questions in the NSEP question paper. The number of questions in the NSEA, NSEC, NSEB, and NSEJS exams will be 60.
