This article covers both, along with a few things that will help you choose a high salary course after class 12th in 2027 without the JEE or NEET entrance exam.

*These ranges are rough estimates and vary widely by college, city, and skills. Always check the college's latest placement report.

Many of these have an exam, but it is not JEE or NEET. Some admit on 12th marks alone, which makes them courses after 12th without entrance exam pressure.

High Salary Courses After 12th Science (Without JEE or NEET)

If you studied PCM or PCB, you still have strong options.

    • B.Sc Data Science / AI: Almost every company is trying to make sense of its data now, and they need people who can do it. Show them a few real projects, and they will care less about what your degree is called.

    • BCA: If you enjoy computers and want to build software, apps, or cloud tools, this is an easy way in. Later, an MCA can take you to better roles and a higher salary.

    • B.Pharm: Think about how many medicines are made, tested, and sold every day. Someone has to know them inside out, and that's where pharmacists come in. Hospitals, pharma companies, labs, and regulators all need them, so the work doesn't dry up. Pick a specialisation you like, and your pay will grow as you get better at it.

    • B.Sc Biotechnology: This course leads straight into biopharma jobs. If you go for an M.Sc or PhD after this, your pay can rise by a big margin.

    • Commercial Pilot Training: One of the highest paying courses after 12th for PCM students, but training costs are very high.

Tip for PCB students: Do not limit yourself to "NEET or nothing." Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Public Health, Nutrition, and Healthcare Management are growing fields.

Courses After 12th Commerce With High Salary

    • Chartered Accountancy (CA) – Tough, but one of the most respected high-pay careers in India.

    • BBA / BMS – Works best if followed by an MBA from a good B-school.

    • BA Economics – Do you like working with numbers and wondering why prices, jobs, and markets move the way they do? This course turns that curiosity into a career. Banks, consulting firms, and analytics teams all hire economics graduates.

    • CFA / Financial Analyst Career – Good for finance and investment careers.

High Salary Courses After 12th Arts

Arts students often get ignored in these lists, which is unfair.

    • Integrated Law (BA LLB) – Top NLU (National Law Universities) graduates can start much higher than average.

    • B.Des / Fashion / Communication Design – Pay depends heavily on portfolio quality.

    • Journalism and Mass Communication – Digital media, content, and brand roles are paying better.

    • BA Psychology – Pay rises sharply after an M.A. and licence/clinical training.

Things to Check before Choosing the High Salary Course in 2027

    1. Fresher salary and 5-year salary are very different

A BCA graduate may start at Rs. 3–4 LPA but reach Rs. 10+ LPA in five years with strong skills. A pilot or CA may take longer to earn but cross that mark faster. Compare both, not just starting pay.

    2. The college often matters more than the course name

Two students can do the same BBA and walk away with very different salaries: Rs. 3 LPA from one college, Rs. 10 LPA from another. So don't trust the brochure. Ask for the placement report and look at three things:

    • Median salary: This tells you what a typical student actually earns. The "highest package" only tells you what one lucky student got.
    • Placement percentage: Ask how many students in the batch really got placed, not just how many received offers.
    • Visiting companies: See which companies come to campus, and whether you would be happy to work at them.

    3. Fees and return on investment (ROI)

A course with Rs. 15 lakh fees and Rs. 4 LPA salary is a tough deal. A simple rule: if total fees are more than 2x the first-year salary, think twice or look at education loans carefully.

    4. Skills beat degrees in many fields

In tech, design, and marketing, employers care about what you can do. Build projects, a GitHub profile, or a portfolio from year one.

    5. "No entrance exam" does not mean "no competition"

A college may admit students on marks, but that doesn't make it easy to get in. Seats are limited, and cut-offs at good colleges can be high. Many top universities now take CUET UG scores, so read each college's rules for 2027 before you apply. Wondering how your score will fare? The CUET College Predictor gives you a quick idea of which colleges you could get into.

    6. Don't Trust Big Placement Promises Blindly

Don’t blindly believe fake college placement promises. Ask to see last year's placement list, and if you can, speak to a few students who were placed. Their answers will tell you more than any brochure.

Entrance Exams to Know (Other Than JEE and NEET)

You do not have to rely on JEE or NEET to get into a good college. These are the exams that matter for the courses in this article:

How to Choose the Right Course (Simple 4-Step Method)

    1. Pick your interest area. Tech, money, law, creativity, or healthcare?

    2. Check eligibility. Does your 12th stream and marks match?

    3. Compare 3 colleges. Look at fees, placements, and faculty.

    4. Plan for growth. Ask where this career can be in 5 to 10 years.
