The Rashtriya Military Schools of India application form was out for the Common Entrance Test (CET) for students for Classes 6 and 9. The RMS application process ended. It commenced on August 21 at 10:00 AM, with the final application date set for September 19, 2024. Students had an opportunity to modify their exam locations from September 20, 2024, at 10 AM until September 22, 2024, at 8 PM. The date for the RMS CET examination was December 8, 2024. The RMS answer key will be released soon and the RMS CET result will be released in February 2025.
Candidates who have registered on - apply-delhi.nielit.gov.in for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS), but haven't completed their application form or have pending payments, need to finish the process by September 19, 2024, 8:00 PM. Those who do not complete the CET application form or make payment have not receive their admit cards and will not be allowed to take the Common Entrance Test for Rashtriya Military Schools.
Rashtriya Military Schools, functioning as English-medium residential public institutions, are managed by the Ministry of Defence to deliver high-quality education to the children of defence personnel as well as civilians. The admission process at RMS is conducted in two phases. The initial phase involves the Common Entrance Test. Following the successful completion of the Rashtriya Military School CET 2025-26, candidates will be invited for an interview and a medical examination. Subsequently, selections will be made based on merit.
RMS CET application forms are invited for admission to Class VI (Boys & Girls) and Class IX (Boys & Girls) in RMS Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Ajmer (Rajasthan), Belgaum (Karnataka), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Dholpur (Rajasthan) for the Academic Session 2025-26. Check all the important dates here

There is a certain set of criteria laid by the Rashtriya Military Schools application form in Classes 6 and 9. Check the eligibility criteria for RMS application form 2025-26 here.
Class VI: Candidates must be between 10 and 12 years old as of March 31, 2025. This means they must have been born between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2015.
Class IX: Candidates must be between 13 and 15 years old as of March 31, 2025. This means they must have been born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012.
Children of Killed-in-Action Personnel: Candidates who are children of personnel killed in action may receive a six-month relaxation in the upper age limit for both Class VI and Class IX.
Class VI:
Candidates must have passed Class V from a government-recognized school before the date of admission.
Students who are currently enrolled in Class V are also eligible to take the entrance exam for Class VI.
Class IX:
Candidates must have passed Class VIII from a government-recognized school before the date of admission.
Students who are currently enrolled in Class VIII are also eligible to take the entrance exam for Class IX.

Read the instructions carefully: Before filling out the form, make sure that the candidate understands all the instructions and eligibility criteria.
Start filling out the form and enter your personal information, academic details, and other required information.
Next, students may need to upload scanned copies of the birth certificate, passport-sized photographs, and other supporting documents.
Pay the application fee online for the RMS application form. The RMS application fee can be paid online using a debit or credit card.
Once the candidate has completed all the steps, submit IT.
After submitting the form, take a printout for future reference.

The written examination for Class VI and Class IX of the CET will be entirely automated using Optical Mark Reader (OMR) technology, and the marking scheme for these assessments will be outlined as follows.

The RMS written examination will typically be at the Class V level for admissions into Class VI and the Class VIII level for admissions into Class IX. The question paper for the entrance exam will be bilingual (in both English and Hindi) for Class VI, while it will be exclusively in English for Class IX.
Candidates who successfully pass the RMS written examination and are subsequently shortlisted will be invited for an interview at one of the Rashtriya Military Schools. The scores obtained in the interview will be combined with those from the written test to determine the final merit list. No travel or other allowances will be provided for journeys related to the Common Entrance Test or the interview.
The list of successful candidates and the corresponding school allocations will be announced by the Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army), ADGAE/AE-2. No individual notifications will be provided to candidates who are not successful. Nevertheless, the final RMS results will be accessible on the website, rashtriyamilitaryschools.edu.in and through the Army Intranet.
Candidates will be admitted to various Rashtriya Military Schools based on their merit, determined by the total marks obtained in the admission test and the interview. This admission process will take into account the availability of vacancies, medical fitness, and the reservation norms established for different categories. The allocation of schools to qualified candidates will be conducted solely based on merit and the vacancies present in each institution.
All candidates must complete a medical fitness examination before their admission to the Rashtriya Military Schools, by the standards outlined in AFMSF-2, and this examination must take place at the hospital specified in the Application Form. The medical assessments will be conducted at the hospitals listed under the section titled "LIST OF HOSPITALS FOR CONDUCT OF MEDICAL TEST."
Candidates deemed medically unfit by the board of officers at these designated hospitals will be ineligible for admission. Furthermore, candidates are expected to maintain their medical fitness throughout their tenure at the Rashtriya Military School. Admission will be considered provisional until a fitness certificate is obtained from the hospital. Requests for changes to the medical examination center will not be entertained.

The qualification for RMS (Rashtriya Military School) depends on the class you are applying for:
Class VI: Candidates must be between 10 to 12 years old as of 31 March in the year they seek admission. While there is no prerequisite educational qualification, students currently enrolled in Class V are permitted to take the entrance examination.
For Class IX: Candidate must have completed Class VIII from a government or recognized institution before the admission date. Additionally, students currently enrolled in Class VIII are permitted to take the entrance examination. Furthermore, candidates should be aged between 13 and 15 years as of March 31, 2025, in the year of admission.
