Rashtriya Military School Chail 2018 - Rashtriya Military School Chail is a fully residential English medium school situated at Chail in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The school is run and administered by Army Headquarter and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Rashtriya Military School Chail, commonly known as Chail Military School and Military School Chail, provides education from class VI to XII and admission is offered in class VI and IX. Rashtriya Military School Chail offers admission through a common admission test (CET) conducted jointly for all the five Rashtriya Military Schools of India. Application forms for CET are made available in school in offline mode only in the month of October-November and admission test is conducted in December.
Application form for academic session 2018-19 were available in Chail Military School from October 22, 2018, to November 15, 2018. Examination for admission in Rashtriya Military School Chail 2018 will be held on December 30, 2018. Students who qualify the written test are called for an interview. A merit list is prepared after the written test and students who make it to the merit list will be called for an interview at Military School Chail. Students who pass the interview are then required to pass a medical test. Medical test is done at military hospital nominated by Army headquarter the time of the announcement of admission. Only those students who pass the medical test will be offered admission in the school.

Chail Military School 2018 offers admission in class VI and IX every year. The admission is done through an admission test which comprises written test, interview, and medical test. The school has laid down certain criteria of eligibility for admission which are as follows
Eligibility for Class VI
The candidate who aspire to take admission in class VI of the Rashtriya Military School, Chail should be between 10-11 years of age on the year of admission. The school do not require any prior educational qualification from student who are applying for the admission in class VI.
Eligibility for Class IX
Students who want to take admission in class IX in Military School Chail should be between 13-14 years of age on the year of admission. The candidate applying for the admission in class VI should have passed class VIII. Students who are currently studying in class VIII are also eligible to apply for the admission.
Relaxation in Age
Chail Military School offers relaxation of 6 months in age towards admission in class VI and IX in school to wards of personnel killed in action.
The admission in Chail Military School is done through written test followed by an interview and a medical test. Candidate who wish to take admission in school have to pass all the three tests in order to take admission in the school. The candidate has to fill the application form which is available in school in the month of October-November every year. Written test is conducted in the month of December. A merit list is prepared after the written test and candidates who qualify the written test and whose name appears in merit list are called for interview. Candidates whose name appears in the interview has to pass the medical test at designated military hospital. Only those candidates are offered admission in Chail Military School who are declared medically fit by military hospital.
Military School Chail announces result of admission test for class VI and IX in February. The link for results will be available on the this website once the results are published. Candidates can check their results by logging in to the website and entering their details like application number, name, date of birth etc. A merit list is prepared on the basis of marks scored in written test and successful candidates are called for interview.
Candidates who qualify the admission test of Chail Military School will have to appear for an interview. The interviews are held separately for class VI and class IX students in Military School Chail. The interview for class VI will be of 20 marks and that of 50 marks for class IX. The results of interview are declared in the month of March-April.
Candidates who pass the interview of Military School Chail will have to undergo a medical test at the nominated Military Hospitals. Military hospitals are nominated by Director General of medical services at the time of the announcement of admission. The common admission test (CET) for admission in Rashtriya Military School, Chail is conducted in the month of December every year. The admission test for class VI in Chail Military School consists of questions from class V standard. The question paper for class VI admission test contains question from English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and General Intelligence.

The admission test for class IX of the Rashtriya Military School, Chail consists of questions from the class VIII standard. Admission test paper for class IX consists of questions from English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Hindi.
All the question in the admission test are of objective type and are set bilingually in the language of English and Hindi.
The total no. of questions for class VI admission test carries 180 questions totaling 200 marks.
The total no. of questions in admission test of class IX is 200 carrying a total mark of 200.
Candidates have to choose the right answer among the four options in question paper and darken the corresponding circle in OMR sheet with HB pencil only.
Students appearing in class IX admission test have to score 50% marks in both the paper in order to qualify
Students appearing in class VI admission test have to score 35% marks in English and 40% marks in General knowledge, Intelligence and Mathematics.
Certain seats are reserved in the Rashtriya military school, Chail for wards of serving, retired and wards of personnel killed in action. In addition to this, certain number of seats are also reserved for SC/ST candidates. Below mentioned is the final break-up of reservation provided by the school
70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy and AF (including ex-servicemen).
30% for wards of officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired officers)
50 seats are reserved for wards of service personnel Killed in Action.
15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST in all categories.
Parents/Guardians of the candidates must submit the following documents at the time of admission in the Rashtriya Military School, Chail. All the original documents and their xerox copies has to be carried at the time of admission in school.
Transfer Certificate from the previous school clearly mentioning the date of birth duly attested/countersigned by Regional Officer, CBSE/ District Education Authorities.
An application for appearing in the scholarship test with income certificate of the parent of the last financial year duly attested by the competent authority.
Affidavit attested by the District Magistrate/ Commanding Officer (in case of Service Personnel) mentioning that the boy is not receiving any other scholarship from Govt. source.

Rashtriya Military School Chail charges fees at flat rates for class VI to XII payable by single installment on yearly basis at the time of admission. Candidates have to pay their respective fees at the time of admission at the beginning of the session.
