Check the different stages below:
The Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) selection process for admission involves a multiple-choice OMR-based Common Entrance Test (CET). The RMS common entrance test will consist of multiple-choice questions and will be administered in an offline format. For Class 6, there will be a single examination paper, whereas Class 9 will feature two separate papers. The examination structure varies between the two classes. Students must pass the CET exam to qualify for the subsequent level. The test content varies depending on the class that the candidate is applying for:
Class VI: The RMS selection process exam assesses Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and English, all at a Class V level.
Class IX: The RMS selection process exam covers a wider range of subjects at a Class VIII level, including English, Hindi, Social Science, Mathematics, and Science.
RMS CET exam was conducted on December 8, 2024.
This is the first stage of the selection process and is conducted in English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
The RMS CET exam is designed to assess a candidate's academic aptitude, problem-solving skills, and general awareness.
Candidates who qualify in the written examination proceed to the next stage.
The Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) Interview 2025 is the second stage of the admission process for Class VI and Class IX and is conducted by a panel of officers. It is conducted for candidates who have qualified in the Common Entrance Test (CET). The interview is conducted at the designated Rashtriya Military Schools. The RMS interview date, time, and venue of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates individually.
The interview assesses a candidate's personality, leadership potential, communication skills, and overall suitability for military life. The final merit will be determined by combining the marks obtained in the written test with the marks awarded in the interview. The interview stage consists of 20 marks in Class 6 and 50 marks in Class 9th.
The final merit list for admission will be prepared based on the candidate's performance in the CET and the interview. Only those candidates who are found medically fit will be offered admission.
The Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) Medical Test 2025 is the final stage of the admission process for Class VI and Class IX. It is conducted for candidates who have qualified in the Common Entrance Test (CET) and the interview. The medical test is typically conducted at Military Hospitals as nominated by the Director General of Medical Services. The date, time, and venue of the medical test will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates individually.
The medical test is designed to assess a candidate's physical and medical fitness to join the RMS. The doctors may examine the candidate's height, weight, vision, hearing, and other aspects of their physical health. Only those candidates who are found medically fit will be offered admission to the RMS. If a candidate is found unfit, they may be given a chance to appeal the decision.
