Educational Qualification:
a) Candidates should have passed or studied in class 5 to be eligible for the RMS class 6 admission. They should have passed class 5 before the date of admission to Rashtriya Military School.
b) For class 9 RMS Belgaum admission, candidates should have passed class 8 from a government-recognised school before the date of admission to the Rashtriya Military School. They should also preferably know sufficient English, which is the medium of instruction in Rashtriya Military Schools.
Note: Candidates studying in Class 5 and Class 8 are eligible to appear in the respective Entrance Test
Age Criteria:
Children aged 10 to 12 years as of March 31, 2026 (born between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2016, inclusive) are eligible for admission to Class VI. Additionally, those aged 13 to 15 years as of March 31, 2026 (born between April 1, 2011 and March 31, 2013, inclusive) may apply for admission to Class IX. A six-month extension to the upper age limit is allowed for the children of personnel who have been killed in action.

For admission in class 6 RMS, the written exam will be of Class 5 level.
The medium of the question paper will be both Hindi and English.
The CET exam 2026 for class 6 will be a total of 200 marks.
The intelligence test section, mathematics, general knowledge, and current affairs sections will each carry 50 marks. Students will require at least 40% marks in these sections to qualify.
The English subject section will carry 50 marks. Candidates will be required to qualify in this section, even though English marks will not be counted in the final merit.

The marks scored in the interview, along with the written test scores, shall be added together to get the final merit score.
Candidates must note that RMS will not provide any travelling allowance for the journey undertaken for the interview round.

A medical fitness examination of the selected candidates will be conducted before they get admitted into the Rashtriya Military School in Rajasthan.
