NIOS 10th Registration 2019 - 2020 - National Institute of Open Learning (NIOS) has opened the registration window for NIOS 10th admission. The online registrations will open till September 15, 2019 (including the late fee dates) for block 1 admissions. NIOS 10th Registration is a completely online process, students willing to take admission in the secondary programme can register by clicking on the link given below. NIOS Registration for the block I (April 2020 exam) under stream 1 are open since March 16 while the admission under stream 3 and 4 are done year around. NIOS 10th exam for Block II will be conducted in October 2019 while that for Block I will be conducted in April 2020. NIOS 10th Registration Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • For admission to the secondary course, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 14 years of age as on July 31, 2019 (i.e. they must be born on or before July 31, 2005).

  • A candidate must have cleared class VIII from a valid board or school.

  • They must possess a valid age proof of attaining an age of 14 years.

  • If a candidate can produce a self-certificate stating that he/ she has studied enough to be able to pursue a secondary course.

  • A candidate who has already completed the secondary course and is willing to improve or complete their course can also take admission in NIOS.

Things to keep ready before filling the online NIOS registration form 2019

A candidate must keep the scanned copy or soft copy (jpg/ jpeg files) ready for the following documents before filling the NIOS admission form. These documents are required to be uploaded while registering for admission to the secondary course under NIOS.

  • Recent Passport size colour Photograph.

  • Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card or Passport or Ration card or etc.).

  • Signature (preferably in Black Ink).

  • Valid proof of Date of Birth (like Aadhaar Card with the date of birth printed on it in the dd/mm/yyyy format, Birth Certificate etc.)

  • Address proof i.e. Aadhaar Card/Water Bill/Electricity Bill/Voter ID/Ration Card/Indian

  • A valid proof of Residence (like Aadhaar Card with complete address printed on it, valid Passport etc.).

  • Passport/Statement of Operational Bank Account/Appointment Letter from the Employer on Printed Letter Head, if living in rented accommodation - a copy of any proof of permanent address along with present Rented Agreement

  • Social category/Caste certificate (in case the learner belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category).o Ex-serviceman certificate (in case he/she is an Ex-serviceman)

  • Class 8th mark sheet (in case of secondary course) or class 10th mark sheet (in case of senior secondary course)

  • Disability certificate (in case he/she is having any kind of disability)

  • Fail Mark sheet of previous Board, failing which Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result. If TOC Board marked with (*Other) is selected then the Result should be available on the Concerned Board Website or Learner has to submit a result verification letter from Concerned Board as per NIOS norms

Note: It is mandatory to upload all the documents in online mode. No offline submission of documents in hard copy is required until and unless the board specifies it. If NIOS founds any discrepancy in the online submission of documents, they will ask the person concerned via email or SMS to submit the hard copy of documents along with the form.

How to do NIOS 10th registration 2019?

Step 1: Go to the official website - or click on the link given above. It will open the NIOS registration Home page as shown here.

Step 2: Select ‘Click here to Register’ tab. It will lead to NIOS registration window.

Step 3: Select the state/ut, identity type, course and enter the identity number. Click on submit tab to proceed further.

Step 4: Enter your basic details like name, father’s name, gender, mobile number, address etc. Click on generate OTP tab to validate your details. Further moving you need to fill in the additional details, select subject and upload documents. Preview your details carefully before final submission.

Step 5: Now proceed to pay fees. Print the receipt for fee payment and filled in the application form to keep it safe for future reference.

How to pay fees?

Students can pay the registration or admission fees in both online and offline modes. Online fees can be paid through Credit Card /Debit Card/Net Banking while for offline, candidates must fill the form at Common Services Centres and pay fees via Electronic Wallet of CSCs.

Note: In addition to the fee mentioned above Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty Only) will be added as the cost of online Application Form for all Streams (Stream 1, 2, 3 and 4). No Bank Draft/Demand Draft/Cash/Cheque or any other mode of fee payment is acceptable.

How to check NIOS Registration status?

Once the registration is done along with the fee payment students can check the NIOS admission status using their reference number in the online mode. It helps students to keep the tracking of their admission. Student can also check admission status by entering his/her registered Email ID or Enrollment number.

What after registration?

A student who has successfully got admission in a secondary course under NIOS must fill in the examination form along with the NIOS exam fees for giving the exam in the following year. NIOS exam fee dates have been announced for October 2019 exams. Students can pay between May 21 and July 16, 2019 (with consolidated late fee).

NIOS Syllabus 2019

After completing the NIOS 10th registration process 2019, one should start to prepare for the exam. To prepare students are suggested to go through the syllabus. NIOS 10th syllabus consists of topics and units need to study for an exam. it also helps the students to know about the important topics and marking scheme of the exam.

NIOS 10th Admit card 2019

NIOS releases the admit card for exams in the month of March and September for the candidates who complete the NIOS 10th registration process. Candidates can download their NIOS 10th admit card by entering the 11/12 digit enrollment number. NIOS Admit card is an important document to carry to the exam hall. Admit card mentions the basic details of the candidate, along with exam centre and other related information. It also contains the instructions and guidelines related to the exam.

NIOS Result 2019

NIOS will announce the result of NIOS for April exams in the month of June 2019 for block-I exams. The result will be published in online mode on its official website. Candidates can download NIOS 10th result 2019 by entering their enrollment number in the result login window.
