Sainik School Merit List 2026 - Qualifying Criteria

To secure a place in the Sainik School merit list 2026, candidates must meet the qualifying criteria based on their exam scores:

• General Category: A minimum of 25% marks in each subject and 40% aggregate marks is required.

• OBC/SC/ST Categories: Candidates from these categories need to score at least 40% aggregate, but there are no subject-wise minimum marks.

• Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen Category: Candidates from the defence category must meet the same aggregate requirement as General category candidates but may have additional relaxations in some cases.
