To secure a place in the Sainik School merit list 2025, candidates must meet the qualifying criteria based on their exam scores:
General Category: A minimum of 25% marks in each subject and 40% aggregate marks is required.
OBC/SC/ST Categories: Candidates from these categories need to score at least 40% aggregate, but there are no subject-wise minimum marks.
Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen Category: Candidates from the defence category must meet the same aggregate requirement as General category candidates but may have additional relaxations in some cases.
After the release of the AISSEE 2025 merit list, the next step for candidates who qualify is to participate in the Sainik School e-Counselling process. E-counselling is an important part of the admission procedure as it helps in the allocation of schools based on merit and preference.
After successfully clearing the e-counselling stage, candidates are required to undergo a medical exam to ensure they meet the physical standards necessary for the Sainik School admission. The medical examination focuses on the overall health and fitness of the candidates.
Candidates who clear the medical examination are considered fit for final admission. The names of successful candidates will be put up in the final merit list. After payment of the Sainik School fee, candidates will be able to secure admission.

In February 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the results of the Sainik school admission exam for Classes 6 and 9. Exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/ will have the 2024 AISSEE results for grades 6 and 9 available online as a scorecard.
