Sainik School Entrance Exam Pattern for Class 6 & 9

The total marks for the Class 6 and Class 9 Sainik School will be 300 and 400, respectively, and there will be 125 and 150 questions each. For Class 6, there will be questions from four subjects, i.e. Mathematics, General Knowledge, Language, and Intelligence and for Class 9, from five subjects, i.e. Mathematics, English, General Science, Social Studies, and Intelligence. The questions in the Sainik School will be objective questions. It will be an offline examination, and the medium of the Sainik School entrance exam will be English and Hindi.

The questions in the Sainik School entrance exam for class 9 will be objective questions. It will be an offline examination, and the medium of the Sainik School entrance exam will be English and Hindi. The candidate must revise each section as much as possible and take as many mock tests as possible to get better marks on the Sainik School Entrance Exam 2025-26.

Preparation Tips for Sainik School Class 6 & 9 Entrance Exam 2026

• Before preparing, students should know the AISSEE syllabus, the number of questions, the marks assigned to each question, and the topics covered in it. This will help him calculate time and prioritise the high-weightage topics.
• Stick to the NCERT syllabus from Class 5 (for Class 6 exam) to Class 8 (for Class 9 exam). This way, all key topics are covered and extra time on irrelevant subjects is avoided.
• Prepare a simplified timetable and follow it every day. The number of hours granted for subjects should be divided while giving extra focus to weak areas, and the schedule should also include some hours for revision and rest.
• Practising on previous years' question papers teaches one the way questions are set up and the difficulty level of questions. This also helps speed and increases confidence before the actual exam.
• Instead of rote learning, know the logic behind concepts in Maths, Science, and Reasoning. This sets up a good base for self-solving trick questions.
• Read short articles on news, children's magazines, and practice exercises in grammar. This would improve vocabulary, comprehension, and knowledge of current affairs.
