The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) released the merit list for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) Class 6 Phase 2 (Winter Bound and Udipi District) on May 22, 2026. The JNVST merit list for admissions to Class 6, Class 9, and Class 11 is released on the official website, navodaya.gov.in. These Navodaya merit lists show the students who have qualified for admission based on the Navodaya entrance exam (JNVST).

JNV Class 6 phase 1 exam was held on December 13, 2025, while the Phase 2 NVS Class 6 exam was held on April 11, 2026. The results for JNVST Class 6 phase 1 were released on March 17, 2026. The JNVST Class 9 and 11 exam was conducted on February 7, 2026. The Navodaya merit list 2026 PDF includes the names, roll numbers, categories, and dates of birth of students shortlisted for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya admissions for the 2025–26 academic session.

Navodaya Class 6 admission is the main entry point, and the results are announced in two formats: individual results, which are checked by entering the roll number and date of birth on the result portal. The second method is the Navodaya 6th merit list PDF. A downloadable, district-wise/region-wise list of selected candidates is released on the official website.
Similar to Class 6, the NVS Class 9 result is announced via an individual check using login credentials and is also released as an NVS Class 9 merit list PDF containing the names and roll numbers of the selected candidates.
NVS Class 11 admission is also through a Lateral Entry process to fill vacant seats. The merit list for Class 11 is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in their Class 10 Board exam, followed by a counselling/document verification process, and sometimes an internal selection test if needed.

The NVS result is the mark sheet of those students that they can check by logging in with their roll number and date of birth on the official website. Whereas the JNVST merit list is a district-wise PDF document released by the NVS. It contains the names or roll numbers of all candidates who have been provisionally selected for admission in the current session.
Yes, NVS applies an internal cutoff based on the difficulty of the paper, the number of candidates who appeared, and the seats available in the district/JNV.
Yes, if a selected candidate fails to join the JNV after the document verification (or is disqualified), the resulting vacant seat is filled by releasing a second or third selection list (waiting list) based on the next-highest-scoring eligible candidates in the order of merit.
