The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has further extended the date for the NVS admission 2024-25 for Class 11 till November 26, 2024. Candidates must fill out the online application form before the last date. Students are granted the NVS class 11 admission 2024-25 through a selection test by an external agency. The Lateral Entry Selection Test (LEST) for Navodaya Vidyalaya admission 2024-25 Class 11 is conducted offline using OMR (Optical Mark Recognition). Eligibility for NVS Class 11 (LEST) Admission

To apply for admission to NVS Class 11, candidates are required to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Admissions are offered only to the vacant seats in JNVs during the academic year 2024-25.
  • The candidate must study Class 10 during the 2024-25 academic session from a recognized school affiliated with CBSE or any other state board.
  • Students who have already passed Class 10 in a previous academic session before 2024-25 are not eligible.
  • The candidate must be studying in a school located in the same district where the Jawahar Navodaya is situated.
  • Candidate must be born between June 1, 2008 and July 31, 2010.
  • Only Indian nationals studying currently in Class 10 in India are eligible to apply.

How to apply for NVS Class 11 Admission

Candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned instructions to submit the admission form for Class 11:

  • Step 1: Interested students can visit the NVS application portal, navodaya.gov.in.
  • Step 2: Candidates must read the prospectus carefully and ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Step 3: Keep the scanned copies of photographs, parents’s signature, and candidate’s signature in JPG format ready for upload.
  • Step 4: Fill in the required details like state, district of residence and study, Aadhaar number, etc. accurately.
  • Step 5: Candidates are allowed to opt for a maximum of 2 streams in order of preference and choose up to 3 JNVs per stream. Streams offered are Science, Commerce, Humanities and Vocational.
  • Step 6: After that, submit the form online along with the scanned copy of the photograph and signatures.
  • Step 7: Candidates can approach the nearest JNV for assistance if needed. Make sure to use the correct information since submitted data will be considered final.
  • Step 8: A 2-day correction window will be provided after the last date of submission.
  • Step 9: Verification of residence, age, category certificates etc. will be done for selected students before the confirmation of admission.

Navodaya Class 11 Exam Pattern

  • The selection test will be of two and half hour duration from 11 am to 1:30 pm.

  • There will be 5 sections with only objective-type questions.

  • The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi).

  • Only one mark will be given for every correct answer.

  • There will be no negative marking.

  • As per government regulations, “Divyang students” will be granted an extra duration of 50 minutes.

Hope you are doing well.

No , Everyone falling under the required age criteria for admission is eligible to give entrance exam and then follows the selection procedures.

Also there is some quota for govt, rural & then girl students.

If you are a girl studying in a village, go for JNVST, you will make it. Life at JNVs is fantastic undoubtedly.

Anyone in class 5th ( minimum age 9), 8th ( min age 12) & 10th( age 14) can apply for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

For 5th class students , forms come in September- October on NVS website. Fill it & send to the principal of nearest JNV. You can also get form from nearest JNV office. This test is called JNVST.

For 8th class students, it's called lateral entry test. Forms come usually in March -april . U can get form from NVS website or nearest JNV office.

For 10th class students, there is no test , they take a few students if seats are vacant on basis of 10th %.
