How many students are selected in JNV Class 9?

Students selected for JNV Class 9 admissions varies each year. This is because the admissions are based on vacant seats available in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. Check the number of students selected in JNV Class 9:

  • Lateral Entry:
    • Admissions to Class 9 in JNVs are done through a "lateral entry" selection test. This means they fill the seats that become vacant when students leave the school.
    • Therefore, the number of selected students is directly related to the number of available seats.
  • Variability:
    • The exact number of selected students will differ from region to region and from year to year.
    • The number of students selected for class 9 is significantly less than those selected for class 6. This is due to the nature of the lateral entry process.

hi ,

Yes, Hindi is one of the mandatory subjects for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 9 admissions. The JNVST exam generally consists of:

  1. Mental Ability Test (MAT) – This tests logical reasoning and mental aptitude.
  2. Arithmetic Test – This focuses on mathematical skills.
  3. Language Test – This includes questions in Hindi and may test reading comprehension and basic language skills.

While Hindi is an important component of the language section, English may also be tested depending on the region and language preferences. However, you should check the official JNVST notification or the JNV website to confirm the exact language requirements for the exam in your area.
