Section A of the CBSE Class 10 English Communicative syllabus will carry 22 marks. The section will include two unseen passages with a maximum word limit of 750 words.
The passages may contain both continuous and non-continuous texts inspired by themes from the prescribed books.
Students may also encounter lists, tables, cues, messages, and telephone conversations. Questions based on interpretation, inference, vocabulary, and analysis will also be included.
The Writing Skills section will carry a total of 22 marks and will include both short and long writing tasks.
