Two of the main responsibilities of the Indian Air Force are to secure the Indian airspace and carry out aerial operations. Indian Air Force Day celebrations are held at the biggest air base in Asia, which is the Hindon Air Force Station, every year. The celebrations see the presence of senior officers from the three armed forces as well as the head of the IAF.

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on Twitter extended his warm greeting to all air warriors. He also talked about how the Indian Air Force has now grown from a small tactical Air Force to one that can now hold its own against any imminent threat, and gave his special greeting to all the veterans and their families, on the occasion of Vayu Sena Divas.
