Student Academic Management System provides students with an opportunity to enrol for the SAMS Odisha +2 admission across the state. Students who want to register for the SAMS Odisha Higher Secondary admission must visit the official portal at samsodisha.gov.in. The SAMS Odisha admission process starts with filling out the Odisha HS admission form 2025 online.
The admission for SAMS Odisha +2 will be strictly granted based on merit in the previous exam. Selected students must produce the intimation letter to the higher secondary school (HSS). They must produce all original documents mentioned in the intimation letter for verification, along with the requisite fees at the school counter. Applicants can check out the following principles of selection or eligibility criteria for the Odisha +2 SAMS admission.
Eligibility to Fill Form: Students who passed in High School Certificate Examination held by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE Odisha board) or its equivalent are eligible for the SAMS Odisha higher secondary admission process.
Selection Process:
Admission into various streams of +2 admission will be done on a merit basis.
Selected students from the merit list will be given one confirmed seat according to their preference in CAP in the intimation letter.
Marks secured in the 10th Class board exams, out of the total marks obtained, weightage, and reservation will be taken into consideration for the merit list.
If there are candidates passing the BSE Odisha 10th board with compartment exams, then the average of marks secured at both exams will be considered to determine the aggregate marks.
Tie-breaking Criteria:
For students who have obtained equal marks in the 10th board examination and have opted for the same higher secondary school and stream, their merit will be decided on the basis of marks in English language, followed by Social Studies for Arts and Mathematics and then followed by Science for Science and Commerce Streams.
The selected student will be given only one confirmed seat according to his/her choice of preferences in CAF.
Students who want to apply for the SAMS Odisha +2 admission process can follow the steps mentioned below to learn more about the admission procedure.
Step 1: Visit the official website of the SAMS portal at samsodisha.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Higher Secondary School (+2)” link under the “School & Mass Education” header.
Step 3: Click on the “New Student Registration” button.
Step 4: Enter the details like the student's name, mobile number, and email ID in the required fields.
Step 5: Click on the “Generate OTP” button. Verify with the given otp.
Step 6: Generate your password and confirm the same again.
Step 7: Log in with the SAMS application using the username and password during the online registration.
Step 8: Click on the “Application Form” link from the homepage and access the Common Application Form (CAF).
Step 9: Students must fill out all the necessary information provided in the application form.
Step 10: After the application, students must upload the caste certificate for online verification.
Step 11: Click on the “Apply” button to submit the application form.
Step 12: Candidates need to make the CAF fees payment online from the permanent gateway using options like Debit card, credit card, net banking, and UPI, etc.
During the SAMS admission process for Odisha +2 slide-up request is adopted to allow students to have a higher choice of preference in the higher secondary school; for another selection merit list is made during the particular admission phase. Candidates will be eligible for the Slide-up request only when they have taken admission in the lower preferred choice of HSS but want to study in the higher preferred HSS applied for in the CAF. They can submit their SAMS Odisha +2 admission slide-up request option in their respective SAMS login.
The request form will be enabled in the e-space login after the student’s admission is updated in the selected HSS.
Students who availed the slide-up will be considered for selection on the basis of merit or vacancies.
If the candidate is selected, they will be issued an auto HSS where the admission has to be done at the higher choice of preference after submitting the required documents and fees.
Note: Once the students submit the Slide-up request, they cannot revoke it. Hence, the applicants are required to be careful while applying for a slide-up request.
Students who are not selected in the first and second selection can apply for the SPOT selection admission online. After the second selection, if the seats are left, they will be reserved for the online SPOT admission. The SPOT admission will be published for the balance seats available after the second selection admission.
Students can apply for SPOT selection admission in online mode.
They can visit the SAMS login portal to add their new choice of preference in the SPOT admission.
The SAMS Odisha +2 SPOT selection admission will be done on a merit basis as per the seats available in a particular higher secondary school.
The SPOT selection merit list will be prepared centrally, and an intimation letter will be generated in the student's login.

Important Note:
In case there are no applicants in any of the reserved categories, the seats will be filled by the general category students during the spot admission.
Selected candidates of SC/ST on a merit basis will be counted against reserved seats. They will be treated as general category candidates for admission, with the category remaining unchanged.
