Admission for the academic year 2025-26 is conducted exclusively through the SAMS online portal, making it a mandatory step for students seeking enrollment.

Admissions to various streams in Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) are granted on a merit basis, with the category-specific seat allotment lists published on the SAMS portal. A single Common Prospectus (CP) and Common Application Form (CAF) will be used for admissions to all streams across Higher Secondary Schools affiliated with CHSE, Odisha.
Applications for Class 11 admissions must be submitted online through the Common Application Form.
The CAF is exclusively accessible via the official websites samsodisha.gov.in and sme.odisha.gov.in.
Applicants are required to select a minimum of five higher secondary schools as their preferred choices in the CAF, with the option to include additional schools based on their preferences.
The applicants can follow the steps given below to fill up the Common Application Form for admission into CHSE Odisha 11th Class:
Visit the official website, samsodisha.gov.in.
Under the School & Mass Education banner, click on the Higher Secondary School (+2) link.
Select the New Student Registration option.
Provide the student's name, mobile number, and email ID in the specified fields, then click on Generate OTP.
Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number in the relevant field, set a password, and reconfirm it in the designated box.
Log in to the SAMS portal using the registered mobile number and the newly set password.
Navigate to the Application Form link in the left menu to access the online Common Application Form (CAF) for Odisha Class 11 admissions.
Complete the CAF by entering details such as the year of passing Class 10, roll number, exam type, and board name. Students from the BSE, Odisha board will find these details pre-filled automatically.
Choose at least five higher secondary schools as per your preference.
For online caste certificate verification, input the barcode or Misc. Case Number from the Odisha e-District Application. Ensure all required fields in the CAF are filled out.
Submit the form by clicking the Apply button.
You will be redirected to the CAF fee payment portal. Complete the payment using methods like debit card, credit card, Net Banking, or UPI, and take a screenshot of the payment confirmation screen for future reference.
Once the deadline for the Common Application Form (CAF) has passed, SAMS Odisha will release a merit list of shortlisted candidates.
The merit list is compiled based on the candidate’s Class 10 marks, along with applicable weightage and reservation criteria.
Candidates selected for Class 11 Odisha admission must log in to their SAMS e-Space to download the ‘Intimation Letter,’ which will include details of the allotted Higher Secondary School (HSS) and the specified date and time for admission.
Selected candidates are required to present all original documents listed in the intimation letter for verification at the allotted Higher Secondary School.
To confirm their admission, candidates must pay the prescribed admission fees.
An applicant, if selected, will be given only one confirmed seat according to her/his choice of preferences in CAF in the intimation letter. The Intimation letter for Odisha 11th e-Admissions will be communicated through the following four modes:
Student e-space (www.samsodisha.gov.in)
SMS on the registered mobile number
Whatsapp on the registered mobile number
Selected Higher Secondary School e-space
Document Verification Location: Verification is conducted only at the allotted Higher Secondary School (HSS) during admission.
Intimation Letter: Selected applicants must download their Intimation Letter from the SAMS e-Space login to check the allotted HSS and the date/time of admission.
Reporting for Admission: Applicants must report to the selected HSS on the specified date/time with their CAF copy and required documents (as listed in the Intimation Letter).
Validation Process: The Admission Team at the HSS will verify the CAF details against original documents like mark sheets and reservation/weightage certificates.
Consequences of Missing Documents: Admission will be denied if claimed benefits (marks, board, reservation, or weightage) lack proper documentation. Remarks such as "admission update – not allowed" will be submitted online for the next selection round.
Note - No original document is to be deposited with Higher Secondary School authority except SLC, Conduct and Migration Certificate.
