List of Documents Required for NIOS Admission 2026

Students applying for NIOS admission 2026 online must upload the scanned copies of the required documents. Below, we have provided the list of documents they will need to complete the admission process. These documents are accepted as proof of eligibility for NIOS 10th, 12th admission.

Here is the list of documents required for NIOS online admission 2026:

• Aadhaar card/passport/ ration card or other identity proof.

• Birth certificate for proof of date of birth

• Address proof ( Aadhaar card/water bill/electricity bill/voter ID/ration card)

• Signature (preferably in black ink)

• Recent passport-size colour photograph

• Class 8th mark sheet (for students applying for the NIOS 10th)

• Class 10th mark sheet (for students applying for NIOS 12th)

• Disability certificate for PwD candidates

• Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

• Ex-serviceman certificate (for candidates applying under the Ex-serviceman category)

Note: Candidates must submit all the required documents in JPG or JPEG format. The board will not accept admission forms without documents.

Cancellation of NIOS Admission 2026

The NIOS board can cancel the candidate’s admission due to the following reasons:

• If the admission form submitted by the candidate is incomplete.

• If the documents submitted by the candidate are incomplete or false.

• If the candidate did not submit the required fees along with the form.

• If the educational qualification of the candidate is not fulfilled, the board can cancel the admission.

• In case any wrong information is found in the application form, the candidate’s admission will be cancelled.

• If the candidate does not pass the secondary examination from a recognised board.
