Steps to Download NIOS ID Card 2025

Before downloading the student ID card, it is essential to ensure that NIOS admission has been confirmed. Failing to do so may result in the candidate encountering the message, “Document verification in progress.” Check the steps here to download the NIOS ID card.

• Visit the NIOS official website, https://sdmis.nios.ac.in.
• Select the student login option.
• Input username and password.
• If the candidate forgot a password, they may log in using their reference number.
• Press the submit button.
• After submission, they will be taken to the online dashboard.
• From the print menu, choose the NIOS ID Card option and click on it
• Download it and keep it for future reference

The NIOS fee for the initial duplicate copy is Rs 100, while any additional duplicates will incur a charge of Rs 500. Upon approval, candidates will have the opportunity to download their NIOS ID card again.

Process for Admission to NIOS

• Upon the successful submission of the online application Form for admission to Stream 1 Block 1, a confirmation will be sent to the email address and mobile number provided during the registration process.
• Payment can be made during the registration process or at a later time by logging into the Student Panel with the username and password that were sent to the candidate's email.
• Following the successful payment of the admission fee, the candidate will receive an email containing the payment receipt. Additionally, they will have the option to print or download their payment receipt and application form from their dashboard after logging in.
• The study materials and books from NIOS will be dispatched to the candidate within 15 working days after the payment has been received by NIOS. There will be no need for any additional payment to the postal service or the individual delivering the study materials and books. The student will also be able to view the tracking ID for their study materials.
• Following the successful verification of the required documents and photograph uploaded during registration, they will receive a confirmation at their email address and mobile number, along with their enrollment number.
• Now they can print or download their NIOS ID Card 2025 from their dashboard after logging in, but this will only be possible once the admission is confirmed and their enrolment number has been generated.
