The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to commence the application process for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2026 in September 2026. The fresh and renewed application dates for the CBSE merit scholarship 2026 for single girl children will be released on the official website at cbse.gov.in. Students who qualified class 10th and are currently enrolled in Class 11th or 12th in CBSE-affiliated schools are eligible to apply online.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the CBSE SGC scholarship 2026, students must go through the eligibility criteria prescribed by the board. Since the scholarship selection process is based on merit, students must meet the eligibility criteria to get the scholarship.
All single girl students must have secured 70% or more marks in the CBSE Class 10th exam. They must be enrolled in Class 11th and 12th in schools affiliated to CBSE.
The tuition fee should not exceed INR 2,500 per month in Class 10
The tuition fee in Class 11th and 12th must not be more than Rs 3000 per month.
Students must be citizens of India.
Annual family income must not be more than Rs 8 lakh.

How to Apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2026?
Students can apply online for the CBSE SGC scholarship 2026. They can follow the steps mentioned below.
Visit the official website at cbse.gov.in.
Click on the ‘Main Website’ and scroll down to get the ‘Scholarship’ section.
Open the scholarship section, which will include the guidelines, application process, and apply online click.
Next, click on the ‘Apply Online’ option for a fresh application.
Fill the required information and upload documents including self-declaration by parents or guardians on non-judicial stamp papers, and fee slip verified by the school principal.
