To pass the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry board exam 2026, students must score a minimum of 33% marks overall. Students are required to pass both the theory paper and practical/internal assessment separately to be declared successful in the subject.
In the theory exam, which is conducted for 70 marks, students must score at least 23 marks to pass.
In the practical and internal assessment component, which carries 30 marks, students must secure a minimum of 10 marks.
If a student fails to achieve the required marks in either theory or practical/internal assessment, they will be considered failed in Chemistry.
