The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has released the scholarship application forms for the academic year 2025-26. The last date to fill out some of the online NSP 2025-26 scholarship forms has been extended to October 15, 2025. Whereas the last date for other scholarships remains the same, i.e., October 31, 2025, based on the scholarship. Students can apply online through the official website of NSP at scholarships.gov.in. In this article, we have provided information for NSP scholarships that students must apply for by October 15, 2025. These include pre-matric scholarships such as Pre Matric Scholarship For Students With Disabilities, National Means Cum Merit Scholarship, Financial Assistance For Education To The Wards Of Beedi/Cine/Iomc/Lsdm- Pre Matric and Pm Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme.

NSP Scholarships Dates 2025-26

The application forms for pre-matric scholarship schemes, such as the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Department of School Education and Literacy, the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (Backwards Classes), can be filled out online by October 15, 2025. List of NSP Scholarships to be filled by September 30, 2025

Every year, lakhs of students apply for NSP scholarships that support education at pre-matric and post-matric levels. Below, we have provided the list of scholarships that must be filled by October 15, 2025.

Pre Matric Scholarship For Students With Disabilities

The Pre-Matric Scholarship for Students With Disabilities comes under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities scheme. The application form was released on June 25, 2025.

Eligibility:

  • Open for Indian Nationals only.
  • Students of Class 9th & 10 with 40% disability or more are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Family Income should be less than 2.5 lakh
  • A total of 25,000 slots are made available for students (including renewal cases).

National Means Cum Merit Scholarship

The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship application is open from June 2 to October 15, 2025. Students can visit the official website of NSP to fill out the application form. A selection test will be conducted, where students must pass both the MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in aggregate.

Eligibility:

  • Students must be from the economically weaker section.
  • They must score a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent in class 7 to appear in the selection test conducted during class 8.
  • Family Income should be from Rs 1.50 lakh per annum to Rs 3.5 lakh per annum.

Scholarship Amount: The amount of scholarship is Rs 12,000 per annum. Students will get Rs 1000 per month.

Financial Assistance For Education To The Wards Of Beedi/Cine/Iomc/Lsdm- Pre Matric

The Ministry of Labour and Employment offers the Financial Assistance for Education to the wards of Beedi/Cine/Iomc/Lsdm scholarship to pre-matric students. The last date to apply for the scholarship is October 15, 2025. Check out the eligibility criteria below.

Eligibility:

  • The family income should not exceed Rs 10,000 per month for Beedi and Mineworkers and Rs 8,000 or Rs 1,00,000 for Cine workers.
  • One of the parents of the student should be a Beedi, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines, Cine worker with at least six months of service.
  • Students should pass the previous exam on the first attempt.
  • Correspondence course students are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • The student's educational institutions must be government-recognised or a government institution.
  • If a student is availing of any other scholarship from any source, then they are not eligible for the scholarship under this scheme.

PM Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme Of Top Class Education In Schools For OBC, EBC And DNT Students

The PM Yasasvi scholarship is for students belonging to the OBC, EBC and DNT categories. Check out the eligibility criteria below.

Eligibility:

  • Family income must be less than Rs 2.5 lakhs.
  • Students must maintain a 100% pass percentage in the class 10th examination.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Tuition fee, hostel fee and other charges as required by the school: Rs 75,000 per annum for class 9th and 10th students.
  • Tuition fee, hostel fee and other charges as required by the school: Rs 1,25,000 per annum for class 11th and 12th students
