Hello,
Eligibility for the NMMS scholarship depends on specific criteria. Here’s a concise evaluation for the mentioned scenario:
Minimum Marks Criteria : For SC students, the eligibility criterion is typically relaxed compared to General category students. Generally, SC/ST students are required to score at least 32% marks in the exam.
Score Calculation : The student scored 85 marks out of 180, which equals 47.22% —higher than the minimum required for SC students.
Additional Requirements : The student must meet income limit criteria (annual parental income below Rs. 3.5 lakh) and be enrolled in a government-aided or local body school.
If all conditions are met, the student qualifies.
Hope it helps !
Hi,
Yes, a student would be eligible for the NMMS scholarship! The eligibility criteria for SC/ST students allow for a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks required. Since the standard requirement is 55% in the 7th-grade examination, SC/ST students need a minimum of 50%. With a score of 85 out of 180, student meets this criterion.
