Good Score in West Bengal Madhyamik: Marks Scored by Class 10 Toppers
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has released the toppers' list 2026 along with the results on May 8, 2026. The board has published a list of toppers who scored perfect and near-perfect scores in the West Bengal Madhyamik exam. As the WBBSE exams are out of 700 (for all six subjects), a perfect score will be 700/700, which indicates 100%. Students who do not score a perfect score of 700 will score at least a near-perfect score of 690 or 691, indicating 98% or above.

Good Score in West Bengal Madhyamik: How Many Marks Toppers Score in Class 10
Admission into schools depends on the student's good score in Class 10. Schools offer streams like Science, Arts, and Commerce. Student admission in the science stream is offered with at least a 60-70% score. Candidates with above 85% are considered to have a good score, as it opens the gate to various state and national-level scholarships.
Usually, WB Madhyamik toppers score more than 98%. A total of 131 candidates secured a position in the top 10 rank list in the WB Madhyamik exam 2026. Abhirup Bhadra, a student of Sarada Vidyamandir from Uttar Dinajpur district, has topped the exam with 99.71%. Priyotosh Mukherjee secured the 2nd rank in the WB Class 10th exam with an impressive score of 99.43%. Last year, Adrita Sarkar scored the highest percentage, i.e., 696 score (99.43%). The WBBSE toppers’ scores for the academic year 2025-26. For the academic session 2025-26, the highest scores achieved by the toppers are 698 and 696, which are higher than in previous years. Last year, the highest score was 696 and 694, which were higher than the last two years, i.e., 2024 and 2023 (693 and 692 in 2024, while in 2023, toppers' scores were 697 and 691). However, the scores in the West Bengal Madhyamik exam keep fluctuating.
