Approximately 9,84,000 candidates took the WBBSE Class 10th exams this year at 2,683 centres throughout the state. Of those candidates, 555,950 are female. The WBBSE Madhyamik exams, were scheduled from February 10 to 22, 2025. The exams were conducted in pen-and-paper format.

The compulsory subjects include First Language, Second Language, Life Science, Physical Science, History, Geography, and Mathematics. Each exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes long, with the first 15 minutes dedicated to reading time. West Bengal 10 exams were held from 10:45 am to 2 pm on each exam day.
