The "Slide-Up" option in the BSEB OFSS admission process is an important feature for students who get selected in the merit list but wish to change their allotted schools or colleges. Take a look at the detailed process for OFSS ‘Slide-Up’ option carefully.
Initial Admission is Mandatory: It is important to note that students must complete their admission process in the allotted college first if they get selected in the second merit list. If students do not take admission in the allocated colleges or schools, their application will be rejected.
Applying for Slide-Up: Students who are dissatisfied with their allotted college or stream can apply for the ‘Slide-Up’ option after the completion of their admission process in the allotted schools. This can be done through the OFSS portal within a specific period of time.
Purpose of Slide-Up: The BSEB Slide-Up option allows students to be considered for a college or stream of higher preference in the merit list, such as the second or third merit list. This option shows the student's intention for an upgrade.
Automatic Cancellation after Upgradation: If a student applies for the Slide-Up and receives a seat in a college or stream of higher preference from a later merit list, their admission to the previously assigned college will be revoked. Then they can proceed to take admission in the new, higher-preference institution.
No changes in seat if not upgraded: If a student applies for the Slide-Up option but does not receive a higher preference college in the next merit list, their admission to the previously secured college remains intact. They do not lose their existing seat.
