The Bihar School Examination Board has released the BSEB exam pattern and model question papers for the upcoming board exams on December 6, 2024. Students can access the detailed exam pattern on the official BSEB website and this page. The Bihar Board 12th exam total marks are 500 marks, with each subject contributing 100 marks to the total score. To pass the BSEB inter exam, students must secure a minimum of 30% marks in each subject.

Over 13 lakh students will sit for the examination to be held from February 1 to 15, 2025. As per Bihar Board Class 12 exam date, the morning shift will run from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, while the evening shift will run from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
The Bihar Board 12th exam pattern for 2024-25 will include both objective and subjective questions. Half of the marks will be allocated to Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), while the other half will be for subjective questions, such as short and long answer types. The number of MCQs will vary depending on the subject:
Subjects with both theory and practical exams: 35 MCQs
Subjects without practical exams: 50 MCQs

Certain subjects, including languages like Maithili, Urdu, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Bengali, and others, will have a 100-mark theory paper. Similarly, subjects like History, Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy, Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics will also be assessed through a 100-mark theory exam.
In contrast, subjects such as Home Science, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Computer Science, Multimedia & Web Technology, Physical Education and Yoga, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geography will be evaluated for a total of 70 marks. Yes, you are eligible for JEE advance if you have scored 71.2% in 12th but just securing marks in 12th will not work as you need to clear JEE mains first and then you will be able to sit in advance paper.

Considering pandemic, there's one time measure for students who had passed 12th in 2021 & 2020.
For 2021 passed :- Those 2021 passed students who had qualified jee main 2021 and had registered for jee advanced 2021 but couldn't appear in the examination are directly eligible for jee advanced 2022 without appearing in jee main 2022.
For 2020 passed :- 2020 12th passed students are also eligible for jee advanced 2022 after qualifying jee main 2022 provided they have appeared in only one of 2020 or 2021 jee advanced or none of them.
