ISRO and AIM Organise National Space Quiz For School Students

ISRO and the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) will observe World Space Week from October 4 to October 10, 2023, A nationwide ‘National Space Quiz’ will be held for students in classes 6 to 11 as part of the event. Students from all Indian schools are eligible to participate in the ISRO space quiz quiz online test which will be accessible from October 4. ISRO competition for students will have 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in the online quiz competition and those who score greater than 40% on the ISRO quiz will be awarded a certificate from ISRO and AIM. About Space Week

World Space Week is a global celebration of science and technology and their contributions to human progress. In 1999, the UN General Assembly agreed that the week of October 4–10 would be recognized as World Space Week. These dates honour two occasions—The first man-made Earth satellite, Sputnik 1, was launched on October 4, 1957, paving the path for space exploration. and on October 10, 1967, a treaty governing state activities in space exploration and peaceful uses of the moon and other celestial bodies was signed. Throughout the world, space agencies, aerospace firms, educational institutions, planetariums, museums, and astronomy clubs hold space education and outreach activities during World Space Week.
