- A is Dimethyl ether (CH3OCH3).
(b) Reaction: CHCl3+Cl2( B)+HCl

This is a chlorination reaction of chloroform (CHCl3) with chlorine (Cl2), where chloroform reacts with chlorine to form carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) and hydrochloric acid (HCl).
