What are the Passing Marks for the CBSE 10th Science Exam?
To pass the CBSE Class 10 Science board exam 2026, students need to score at least 33% marks in total. It is important to note that students must pass both the theory exam and the practicals/internal assessment separately to be declared successful.
In the theory paper, students must score a minimum of 27 marks out of 80.

CBSE Class 10 Science Question Paper Format
The CBSE Class 10 Science question paper 2026 will be structured to assess students’ understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics concepts. The paper will consist of 39 questions divided into three sections, covering all major topics from the prescribed CBSE 10th syllabus.
All questions in the paper will be compulsory. However, internal choices will be provided in some questions, giving students the option to attempt either of the given alternatives. Students are required to attempt only one question from each internal choice pair.
The CBSE Class 10 Science theory paper will be conducted for 80 marks, while the remaining 20 marks will be allocated for internal assessment, making the total maximum marks 100.
