BHU School Eligibility 2025: Admission Criteria for Class 6, 9 & 11

Banaras Hindu University offers admission to LKG, Class 1, Class 6, Class 9, and Class 11 students. The university has BHU school eligibility which students have to check before applying for admission. BHU School Eligibility 2025

Students seeking admission must check out the eligibility criteria mentioned below. Every class student has different eligibility. Students must consider and check out the BHU school eligibility criteria mandatorily before applying for the BHU School admission.

Eligibility Requirements for LKG Class

• Students must be 4 to 5 years of age as of April 1, 2025.

• Date of birth certificate copy issued by the Nagar Nigam/ copy of Kutumb registers mentioning the applicant’s name by parent/guardian is mandatory for students.

Eligibility Requirements for Class 1

• Students must be 6 to 8 years of age as of April 1, 2025.

• Students must submit a date of birth certificate copy issued by the Nagar Nigam/a copy of Kutumb registers mentioning the applicant’s name by parent/guardian.

Eligibility Requirements for Class 6

• Students must be 10 to 12 years of age as of September 30, 2025.

• Candidates taking admission for BHU class VI must have passed the class 5 examination from a recognised school.

• Students applying for the BHU class 6 must mandatorily submit the date of birth certificate, marksheet, and transfer certificate of class V. Applicant’s DOB must be as per the class V marksheet.

Eligibility Requirements for Class 9

• Students must be 13 to 15 years of age as of March 31, 2025.

• Candidates must have passed the class VIII examination from a recognised school.

Eligibility Requirements for Class 11

• Students must be 18 years of age as of March 31, 2025.

• Candidates must have passed the class X examination from a recognised board/university with the required percentage of marks/grades.

BHU School Eligibility for External Candidates (Coming through SET Exam)

• Students must score 55% marks or equivalent grades and above in class X for the commerce stream.

• They must score at least 60% marks or equivalent grades in class X in aggregate for admission to the Maths and Biology stream.

• Further 50% marks or equivalent grades or above are mandatory for each subject of Science and Maths.

• Students must have passed class X for admission to the arts stream.
