A cutoff is a number that determines if the student has qualified for the next class or not. It is the minimum mark needed to meet certain requirements in school. Each school and college have different cutoff marks.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has developed an online system known as the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS). The students who are interested in taking admissions in intermediate classes affiliated with BSEB can easily enrol into intermediate courses across streams like Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture or Vocational. However, admissions through OFSS are not applicable for minority institutions or residential schools affiliated with the Bihar board.
