Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2019 – Directorate of Government Examination (DGE), Tamil Nadu has released the TN 12th result on April 19, 2019 online for all streams - Science, Commerce and Arts at 9:30 am. The link to check the TN result has been provided below. Students can check their result for class 12th by entering their registration number and date of birth in the login window. The Tamil Nadu 12th board exam were conducted from March 1 to March 19, 2019. This year, a total of 8,69,423 candidates registered for TN 12th exams of which 389250 are boys and 453262 are girls. The overall pass percentage is 91.3 which has increased from last year. Girls outperformed this year with a pass percentage of 93.6 as against 88.6 for boys.
Total number of candidates registered for Science stream was 520274 of which 482542 passed the exam with an overall pass percentage of 92.75.
Total candidates in Commerce and Arts streams was 254013 and 13290 respectively. The pass percentage is 90.78 and 80.13 for Commerce and Arts respectively.
Candidates registered under vocational stream was 54935 of which 33174 were boys and 21761 were girls. The pass percentage for vocational stream is 82.70.

Students must note that the Tamilnadu 12th result 2019 released online is provisional. The original marksheet will be issued to students by the board and they will be required to collect it from their respective colleges or schools. The provisional marksheet is valid for 90 days. Last year, Tamil Nadu 12th exams were conducted from March 1 to April 20, 2019 and the result was declared on May 16.

DGE, Tamil Nadu will release the Tamilnadu 12th Arts/science/commerce result on April 19 in the online mode on the official website. Students will have to enter the registration number and date of birth (as mentioned on the admit card) on the login window to access the result. The result can be checked by clicking the link provided above.
Students securing 70 marks each in all the three subjects out of 200 will be eligible for Higher Secondary Certificates. The marking scheme prescribed by the board is explained below.

The scanned copies of answer scripts are issued for all subjects. Students have to apply through school or exam centres for seeking the answer scripts. They will be required to pay Rs.275 per script in cash to the school or exam centre. The acknowledgement slip will be given once they register. They will have to enter registration number and date of birth to download the scan copy of the answer script.
Students can opt for re-evaluation for all subjects. The scripts will be re-valued by subject experts. Marks obtained in re-evaluation will be final. Only those students who apply for scan copy of answer scripts can opt for revaluation. While downloading the answer scripts students can apply for re-valuation and submit it to the concerned Chief Educational Officer along with requisite fee in cash. The fee of each subject is Rs.505. The request will be processed within 10 to 15 days.
Students can apply for re-totalling in all subjects after the publication of TN result 2019 for Class 12. The marks secured by him/her will be added once again. Any question left unchecked will be checked and marks will be awarded. One will have to pay Rs.205 for each subject while it is Rs.305 for subjects comprising two papers.
DGE conducts TN supplementary exam for those students who are unable to clear their exam in the first attempt. These exams can avoid wastage of an year and let students appear for the 12 board examinations again. The examinations will be conducted in May 2019 and the result for the same will be announced in June.

A. No, the result is released online only. You can check the result using your registration number and date-of-birth as provided on the admit card. Thereafter, you will be required to collect your original marksheet from school.
Q. What if I'm not able to check the result?
A. As soon as the result is declared, the servers might not respond as fast due to heavy traffic. Do not panic. Try again after few minutes and it shall open.
