NRTS Registrations 2024: NRTS Scholarship Login, Application Window Open

The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha opened registrations for the National Rural Talent Scholarship (NRTS) Examination. The NRTS online applications for 2024 were accepted from September 5 to September 20, 2024 (till midnight). School authorities were required to register the candidates who are willing to appear for the NRTS 2024 exam through the official website at bseodisha.ac.in. The NRTS exam is to be held on October 23, 2024.

A student enrolled in any school recognised by the Government of Odisha, or a school that has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Government of Odisha, who has successfully passed Class 8 and is currently studying in Class 9, is eligible to appear for the NRTS examination. However, students from schools that do not follow the syllabus prescribed by the BSE Odisha, are not eligible for the NRTS scholarship. Details of NRTS Registration Process 2024

The Principal or Head of the Institution is responsible for logging in and registering eligible candidates using their school code and password. To register candidates for the NRTS examination, the Head of the Institution must:

• Log in with their school's code and password.

• Update the school profile, including address, phone number, and email ID, and upload the head of the institution's full signature.

• Register eligible students one by one for the NRTS exam.

• Verify the registration details under the ‘Registered Candidates List’ and modify any errors before proceeding.

• Make the payment through the online portal.

• Once payment is confirmed, download the Descriptive Roll (DR) Sheet of the registered candidates.

• The registration fee for each candidate appearing for the NRTS examination 2024 is INR 60/-.

• The NRTS application fee payment must be made online. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable.

NRTS Scholarship 2024 - Exam Pattern and Syllabus

• The NRTS examination is a written test, which evaluates students in the following subjects:

1. MIL (Modern Indian Language)

2. Mathematics

3. General Science

4. Social Science

• The NRTS 2024 exam will consist of a composite paper divided into four sections, one for each subject. Each section will carry 25 marks, bringing the total to 100 marks.

• The questions will be multiple-choice, and candidates will need to mark their answers on an OMR sheet by selecting the correct option from four possible answers.

• The exam will be based on the Class 8 syllabus, and the login authority or respective institution must carefully select the correct MIL subject during the NRTS registration process, as errors cannot be rectified later.
