    NRTS 2026 Exam: The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, conducts the National Rural Talent Scholarship (NRTS) Examination 2026. It is open for Class IX students of recognised schools in Odisha. The exam contains questions based on the Class VIII syllabus. Selected students will receive ₹250 monthly for two years.

    • The BSE Odisha will accept the NRTS 2026 exam applications from July to August in online mode. School authorities have to register the candidates who are willing to appear for the NRTS 2026 exam through the official website - bseodisha.ac.in. 
    • Students who have filled out the NRTS registration form should get well-versed with the NRTS syllabus and exam pattern 2026.
    • The BSE Odisha will conduct the National Rural Talent Scholarship (NRTS) Examination in September 2026.
    • Students can download the NRTS admit cards for the examination through the official website in September. 
    • The NRTS 2026 examination is conducted in subjects like MlL, Mathematics, General Science & Social Science. The questions are set from the syllabus of Class 8. 
    • It is a composite paper consisting of four papers/sections, i.e., one section for each subject. Each section will carry  25 marks, and the total marks will be 100.
    • The NRTS exam answer key will be released in October.

    • Candidates must be students from any recognised school by Govt. of Odisha. 
    • They must have received the NOC from Govt. of Odisha, having passed Class-8 and are continuing in Class 9, are eligible to appear for the NRTS Examination 2026. 
    • Students who do not follow the syllabus of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, are not eligible for this scholarship. 
    • Also, only SEBC category students have to produce an income certificate where their annual income does not exceed Rs 1.5 lakh.

    Students who are eligible for the National Rural Talent Scholarship Exam 2026 can apply online through their schools. The school authorities will have to register the students through the board's official website at bseodisha.ac.in. Therefore, interested students need to connect with their school. The NRTS application form 2026 can be filled out from July to August.

    • Students must complete the syllabus at least 1 month before the examination. 
    • Candidates must try to solve the previous year's question papers to manage their time. The NRTS examination 2026 contains two papers, each of duration 1 hour and 30 minutes.
    • The paper will be mostly based on the class 8 syllabus, and try to cover as much as possible.

    The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, will release the NRTS admit card 2026 in September in online mode. The NRTS 2026 admit card download link was made available at bseodisha.ac.in. The NRTS hall ticket 2026 can be downloaded by entering the school code, password and any other required credentials in the login window. 

    Steps to download the NRTS admit card 2026:

    • Visit the official website at bseodisha.ac.in.
    • Click on the "NRTS Admit Card 2026" link.
    • Enter the school code and password.
    • Once logged in, the NRTS admit card will be displayed on the screen.
    • Download the admit card of the NRTS 2026 exam and take a printout of it.  

    The BSE Odisha will declare the NRTS exam result in December 2026. The board will hand over the NRTS 2026 merit list to the concerned District Education Officers, who will prepare the list of selected students. 

    The NRTS merit list of selected candidates is prepared after the document verification. Once the documents are verified, the district education officer will issue the award memo to the selected students.

    Disbursement Of Award Money:

    The scholarship funds will be deposited into the students' bank accounts. After the publication of the results and the issuance of the memo, the awardees will be informed about the opening of joint bank accounts. They will also be asked to provide the necessary details to the education officer so the funds can be transferred to their bank accounts.
