The Darpan AHSEC admission for Higher Secondary (HS) 1st Year for the academic year 2025–2026 is being conducted online via the DARPAN portal, available at darpan.ahseconline.in. Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) manages this centralised portal for AHSEC 1st year admission. The student application process commenced shortly after the Assam HSLC results. The DARPAN portal for Class XI admissions for the 2025–26 session started on April 17, 2025, and will close on April 24, 2025. Classes for HS 1st Year are scheduled to begin on May 2, 2025.

To apply, students must first register on the DARPAN portal using their HSLC credentials. Once registered, they can select and apply to multiple institutions. Based on the academic performance of the applicants, institutions will prepare and publish merit lists. Students who are selected must confirm their DARPAN AHSEC admission by accepting the offer through the portal.
Assam HS 1st year admissions are conducted online through the "Darpan" common portal. Principals of colleges, HS, and senior secondary schools with valid AHSEC codes can register online by creating their institution's profile at www.darpan.ahseconline.in or www.ahsec.assam.gov.in. The "DARPAN" admission portal for HS First Year Class for the academic session 2025–26 has been launched on April 17, 2025. Students seeking admission can apply online through the official websites www.darpan.ahseconline.in or www.ahsec.assam.gov.in. The online application window will remain open from April 17 to April 24, 2025. Following this, institutions will prepare their merit and waiting lists between April 25 and April 26, 2025.
The provisional selection and waiting lists will be published on April 27, 2025, at 10 AM, and these lists will remain valid until May 10, 2025. Selected students must accept the admission offer between April 27 and April 29, 2025, while institutions are required to confirm admissions online through the "DARPAN" portal from April 30 to May 10, 2025. For those who miss the initial deadline, the admission portal will reopen for five days before May 15, 2025, allowing a final opportunity to complete the admission process.
Applicants must apply through the "DARPAN" portal.
Students can submit a maximum of five applications.
Students can edit their profile once before the selection list is prepared.
Selection and waiting lists will be available on the portal, and students will be notified via SMS.
After the selection list publication, students can approve only one institution for admission and must complete admission within the given time.
Students can change their preferred subjects/stream at the time of admission, and the institution must update it in the portal.
Students who do not accept the admission offer within the stipulated time will be removed from the selection list.
Students who do not apply/select an institution within the stipulated time will have their name/profile disabled on the portal.
Mobile numbers must be unique for registration.
Institutions will prepare selection and waiting lists after verifying applications.
Selection and waiting lists will be available on the portal, and candidates will receive SMS notifications.
Physical verification of documents is required at the time of DARPAN AHSEC admission.
Institutions must confirm DARPAN AHSEC admissions in the portal daily by May 10, 2025, for students who have accepted offers.
Institutions can change a student's preferred subjects/stream with student consent and must update it in the portal on the admission day.
Institutions cannot admit students without their consent.
Institutions cannot enroll students through other institutions.
Institutions failing to meet the deadline will be disabled and may be re-registered with a fine.
Institutions must confirm admissions from enlisted boards only.
Gap permission certificates are discontinued from the 2025-26 session.
Subject permission is not required for subject selection.

Students seeking admission to Higher Secondary 1st year courses in AHSEC-affiliated institutions (including Universities, Degree Colleges, Senior Secondary Schools, and Higher Secondary Schools) must apply online. The online application process involves the following steps:

Click on the 'HS 1st Year Online Admission' link.
On the loaded portal, click 'Register a new Account'.
Enter the required personal and educational details.
Upload scanned copies of a passport-sized photograph and the 10th mark sheet.
Choose a 4-digit Login PIN and click 'register'.
Return to the 'HS 1st Year Online Admission' link and log in.
Select the desired course and up to five preferred institutions.
Submit the application and print a copy for future reference.
Regularly check the portal for admission selection notifications.

Yes, the Assam board is expected to release the Assam HSLC topper list along with the Assam HSLC result . If the board releases the toppers list, you will be able to check it on the official website, sebaonline.org.
To pass the Assam HSLC exams , students must score at least 30% marks in each subject and achieve an overall aggregate of 30%. This includes both theory and practical components where applicable. Meeting these criteria qualifies the student for a passing score in the examination.
After the announcement of the Assam HSLC result, the Assam board opens the window for the rechecking process. If you are not satisfied with your result, you can visit the official website, fill out the Assam HSLC revaluation process application form and submit it along with the required fee.

The name on the Admit card will be yours and that of on the Bank account will be your parents. No match right?! So, it will not make an issue if the name on your Admit Card and your Bank account doesn't match. They will not reject your application for the Award.
