St. Xaviers School, Organises, Inter-house Singing and Dancing Competition

St. Xaviers School, Dehradun, recently organised an Inter-house Singing and Dancing Competition for students of classes 6 to 12. The competition was held with the goal of fusing education with enjoyment and helping students gain confidence by providing them the chance to perform in front of an audience. A.K. Singhal, principal, lit the ceremonial lamp to kick off the event followed by Pratishtha Ghosh of class 12 performing a traditional dance on Ganesh Vandana. The theme of the event was Indian Patriotic Song and Folk Dance.

St. Xavier's School, Dehradun, was established in 1953 and is run by the Doon Kindergarten School Society. “Every student receives a thorough course on value education. both the humanities and sciences are taught. The goal is to get solid practical knowledge based on current methods and Indian School Certificate Examination (+2) syllabus requirements. The School places a high value on a variety of programmes of extracurricular activities. These are intended to foster the newest leadership and responsibility skills as well as important character traits including honesty, self-assurance, cooperation, and diligence. Each student presented themselves gracefully in a variety of ways at the Inter-house Singing and Dancing Competition. Everyone in attendance applauded the students loudly. After speaking to the students and thanking all the teachers who contributed to making the event a success, principal A.K. Singhal announced the results. The first prize was bagged by House Milton followed by Spencer House and Wordsworth House winning second and third position respectively.
