Scottish High International School Organises Clothing Drive

Scottish High International School recently organised a clothing drive for the children living in the orphanages of Gurugram. To celebrate the upcoming festivities of Diwali, students of Scottish High International gathered elegant party attire such as lehengas, kurtas, frocks, ethnic wear, etc. that were in brand-new condition in an effort to bring light, and laughter into the lives of kids living in Gurugram orphanages. The garments were collected and neatly packed into the 12 cartons and were given to Shalu Johar Sahni, representative of the NGO ‘Pure Hearts.’

Scottish High International School Events

Scottish High International School, Gurugram, recently held a University Application Process workshop for parents of Class 12 students. Parents were informed about the essentials that go into college application processes including university deadlines, entrance requirements, documentation, and letters of recommendation. They were also briefed about the importance of beginning the resume-building process from Class 9 onwards, by school counselor Neha Singh Maurya.

The garments collected during the clothing drive will be further personalised by volunteers from the NGO Pure Hearts' and handed to all 505 children residing in the District Council for Child Welfare's orphanages— Aarushi Homes, Udayan Boys, Udayan GirlsHome for Homeless Children. To promote happiness and celebration on Diwali, the volunteers of ‘Pure Hearts’ will light and decorate the orphanages and shelters, offer snacks and hygiene items, and distribute the bespoke clothing that the Scottish High International students have collected.
